New York Knicks forward Amar'e Stoudemire missed the first preseason game against the Wizards due to cautionary reasons. Now it seems as if he could miss the second preseason game against the Celtics as well. Nate Taylor from Off the Dribble reports that Amar'e did not scrimmage with the team but did go through the team's walk-though and weight room session.“I could play if I needed to, but it’s preseason,” Stoudemire told reporters after Friday’s practice. “We’re not going to force anything right now.”“A bone bruise is never a fun thing,” [Stoudemire] said. “It takes a while for it to heal. Right now, we’re just trying to break up the blood that’s in there and loosen it up.”Health problems, especially knee problems, have always seemed to be a problem in Stoudemire's career, but this injury came from just another accident that is unrelated to any problems in the past. The Knicks will probably take it easy for him during the preseason so they can gear up and be as close to full-strength as they can for the regular season and their first season game against the Brooklyn Nets. If Amar'e is to play against the Celtics, expect him to play for limited minutes and probably not appear as physical or aggressive as usual. Considering his past rash of knee injuries, don't be surprised if he does not play at all for cautionary reasons.Follow @hoopsinjurynews
