Knicks 110 Raptors 84 Boxscore Knicks Collective Effort: Tonight the New York Knicks pounded the Toronto Raptors into submission with a 110-84 win. NY is tied with Indiana for the 2nd seed because Indiana lost to the Bulls tonight. The Knicks had solid contributions from Melo, JR Smith and new fan favorite, Kenyon Martin. Tonight was a complete team effort, as the entire team moved the ball, making quick decisions and getting to the foul line. Melo and Kenyon had the chance to get some rest, as they sat out most of the 4th quarter. When the New York Knicks are focused, locked in and ready to compete, they look like an elite team, however they have not played this way in a long time. Kenyon Martin: Besides Melo’s dominant mid ranger game (28 pts 8 rbs) and JR’s foul line consistency (7-8 from the line) New York’s heart and soul tonight was Kenyon Martin. It looks like Kenyon has taken control as the defensive leader in the absence of Tyson Chandler. His energy and toughness has really taken New York by storm, resulting in the MSG crowd chanting “Kenyon…Martin”. Kenyon finished with 18 points 7 rebounds an 2 block shots. When Tyson comes back I hope Kenyon stays in the line up and solidifies the Knicks defense for the rest of the year and the entire playoffs. My only concern is if Mike Woodson will run Kenyon into the ground with heavy minutes. Let’s hope not! Danny Ainge dropped the ball, should've signed Chris Andersen and Kenyon Martin

The Celtics are banged up. If Kevin Garnett's foot injury ends up lingering for any extended period of time, an already thin front line becomes non-existant. The C's have no depth at either the 4 or 5 spot - and it's showing. D.J. White and Shavlik Randolph are not NBA caliber players, at least not rotation quality, and trying to plug them into the line-up during the...
