NEW YORK – One can imagine what a bittersweet today this has been for Tyson Chandler. The enforcer of the New York Knicks is the recipient of the 2011-12 Kia NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award. He’s also the first Knick to ever win the award.

The cold side of the pillow is that he and the Knicks are fighting for the pride.
