Found December 25, 2012 on NY Sports Nut:
The Knicks are checking if coal or Amare Stoudemire is under their tree, but why would Santa leave the Knicks anything less than a healthy Stoudemire? This season the Knicks have been as close to good behavior as possible and Stoudemire took it a step further by getting married in December. Could a return to the hardwood be Santa’s wedding gift to Stoudemire? Santa might punish the Knicks over their recent misconduct in a loss to the Chicago Bulls. How many chances does Santa give? Since three members of the Knicks were thrown out in that game. Can’t really make a case about the Knicks suffering without Stoudemire, since they have the second best record in the Eastern Conference. The Knicks have shared the basketball in the absence of Stoudemire. And have formed a cohesion many spectators assume Stoudemire will ruin. Don’t consider Stoudemire returning as the proverbial lump of coal, losses to the Bulls and Grizzlies, exposed the Knicks. Stoudemire is needed, as soon as possible. If Stoudemire should be gift wrapped with a reserve paper or given a starting bow is up to the Knicks head coach, Mike Woodson. Stoudemire hasn’t behaved naughty in the media, throwing subliminal shots at your organization is common these days. For a player to say openly they will accept their role is major, the Knicks have that in Stoudemire. A hardworking team that loses the battle on the glass every night needs another big body to at least attempt to halt the Knicks woes. Be honest, the first and second units, would benefit from the presence of Stoudemire. How many decoys and dominant scorers have ever hurt a team? But the question is will Santa see it the Knicks way and provide fans with an image of what is to come for this Knicks club. Stoudemire making this team unbeatable is more likely than the Knicks taking a step back because Stoudemire is in the lineup. I’m sure Stoudemire wants to prove that more than anything else in the world. So it isn’t all on Santa. Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night. Follow Me on Twitter

Video Of The Week- Rasheed Wallace’s Greatest Moments

The NBA has truly done an amazing job with Christmas Day basketball, with five can’t miss games every single year. It is truly a Christmas treat to be able to watch Paul Pierce vs. Joe Jonson, Kobe vs. Melo, and LeBron vs. Durrant all in one day. One other player that will be suiting up this Christmas day is the one, the only, Rasheed Wallace. Although Rasheed probably makes an...

Marcus Camby Returns in Knicks Loss

The New York Knicks are getting healthier. And that's frightening for the rest of the Eastern Conference. The team has been dominant as it is, but they still have players like Amare Stoudemire and Marcus Camby returning from injury. In fact, Camby returned last night. Coach Mike Woodson told reporters just before game time that Camby would be available and in the lineup. He...

J.R.’s In a Groove

J.R. Smith began the 2012-2013 season on a tear by shooting lights out from the field and from 3-point range during the month of November.  J.R. was also stepping up in the rebounding category where he was averaging about 5 boards per game, a career high.  He was playing smart, doing all the right things on both sides of the ball, and limiting his random acts of craziness that...

Are The Knicks A Soft Team?

The Knicks were thoroughly beaten despite the final score by the Chicago Bulls a few nights ago for the second time this season. Of the Knicks seven losses this season, you can argue that four have come at the hands of teams that play a very physical style of play. The first sign that a physical team could be the Knicks’ kryptonite was the 105-95 loss at Memphis, when Carmelo...

Raymond Felton Questionable Vs. Phoenix With Sprained Pinkie

Raymond Felton has played with a bone bruise in each hand and now has a sprained ligament in his right pinkie. Because of his toughness he can’t be counted out for Wednesday night’s game against the Suns in Phoenix. But even he admitted after spraining his right pinkie on his shooting hand that if he plays he is likely to be limited by the injury. “I ain’t the same with...

POTD 12/23/12: JR Smith on Greg Stiemsma

Sometimes, when I see JR Smith dunk, I wonder why he doesn’t do so as often as he used to.  Then it hits me: JR Smith is a nine-year NBA veteran.  It doesn’t seem like it’s been nearly that long since the New Orleans Hornets plucked him straight out of high school, and he doesn’t always conduct himself like elder statesman, but it has indeed been almost a decade since he...

Knicks Need Bounce to their Game

Pre Game News and Notes Timberwolves vs. Knicks:  MSG 5pm   The Knicks look to bounce back after a tough loss Friday against the Bulls in a match-up against the surprisingly 13-11 Minnesota Timberwolves.  It is the last home game for the Knicks on their home stand before embarking on a west coast trip next week.  For the Knicks, the Timberwolves will not be at full strength with...

Marcus Camby Will Return Christmas Day Against Lakers

Veteran New York Knicks forward Marcus Camby says he will be active for the team’s Christmas Day game against the Los Angeles Lakers. Camby has missed the past 12 games due to plantar fascia in his left foot. Following a workout on Sunday afternoon prior to tipoff against Minnesota, Camby pronounced himself healthy enough to play. “I just have to get my number called,”...

Camby Returns After Missing 12 Games

Marcus Camby returned on Tuesday for the first time in 12 games after dealing with plantar fasciitis.

Knicks: Rebound Against Timberwolves for a Change

No, the New York Knicks didn’t rebound well against the Minnesota Timberwolves and that won’t change. The Knicks are atrocious as a team in that category. Tell you something you don’t know, right? The Knicks beat the Kevin Love—less Timberwolves, without shooting well from 3-point range. The Knicks went 6-26 as a team from long distance. Carmelo Anthony shot an abysmal 3...

Stoudemire calls Jan. 1 return a possibility

Injured forward Amar’e Stoudemire could be back on the court for the New York Knicks on New Year's Day. There are indications from Stoudemire that he could see his first action on Jan. 1 against Portland in Madison Square Garden. He called that date "a possibility" when asked when he would make his season debut, according to Newsday. The veteran forward is working...

Lakers Ruin Knicks Christmas Celebration

With the clock winding down in a Christmas thriller than never saw a lead greater than ten points, Kobe Bryant (34 Pts) and the Lakers proved to have just a tad more holiday spirit. Knicks sharp shooter J.R. Smith (25 Pts, 10-23 Fg) reached deep into his bag of heroics when he drilled a three-point bucket with only one minute remaining in the contest, closing the deficit to two....

Knicks-Suns Preview

The New York Knicks got off to their best start in decades due in large part to consistent 3-point shooting. They've recently struggled to hit from outside, and the team's recent slide looks like no coincidence. The Knicks will try to avoid rare consecutive losses on Wednesday night when they visit the Phoenix Suns. New York has employed the league's most 3-point-oriented...

Peace be with you Novak

Metta World Peace knocks Steve Novak Senseless Metta World Peace’s elbows are at it again, this time finding Steve Novak’s chin.  I’m pretty sure his elbows are illegal in 13 states. Metta played a great game in the Lakers much needed 100-94 victory over the Knicks.  He had 20 points on 6-11 shooting with 3 [...]

Knicks 94, Timberwolves 91

NEW YORK -- After a lackluster start, Carmelo Anthony turned it on in the final minutes and so did the New York Knicks, who squeezed out a 94-91 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves at Madison Square Garden on Sunday. Anthony, cold from the floor for most of the game and down to his last foul with 3:04 left in the game, finished with 33 points, scoring the Knicks' last 12...
