Yi Jianlian never made a name for himself here in the United States, but he is still huge in China. You know who is also huge in China? Kobe Bryant. Kobe is still the top player marketed overseas for the NBA. They love him. So it was only natural for him an Yi to star in a commercial together. It’s a pretty sweet ad, entitled “Give Me the Ball”: Nike routinely puts out some...
While LeBron and DWade were busy posting fun stuff to their Twitter account like The Heat’s Harlem Shake video – FUNNY, make sure you watch that even if you hate every other video you’ve seen of it. Kobe Bryant was announcing he’d required a new nickname, Vino. But he’s not giving you the meaning behind it. You have to figure out a brain teaser in order to understand the...
Kobe Bryant with the most powerful 2 of his 34 points as he soars for the jam over Josh Smith late in the fourth quarter leading his Lakers to a W:

Following the Lakers’ win over the Timberwolves on Thursday night, Kobe Bryant had something to say about his teammate.
Kobe’s killer quote of the night was likening Antawn Jamison to “a cockroach”: “He keeps finding the cracks.”

Pretty spot on, seeing that cockroaches can live forever and live through hell.
The Los Angeles Lakers finally got back to .500 on Sunday night with a 99-98 win over the Atlanta Hawks. It was a hard-fought victory on the NBA’s “Noche Latina” during which “Los Lakers” relied heavily on superstar guard Kobe Bryant.
Bryant was spectacular, scoring 34 points, while adding six rebounds, four assists and two steals. But the moment of the game came late in...
Kobe Bryant dropped a cool 34 points on the Atlanta Hawks last night, and led his team to a 99-98 victory.

to play in the game. It's safe to say Kobe wants to get his team into the playoffs.

The Lakers are back to being a .500 team. They have not seen such a statistic since the beginning of the new year. Their recent profound passion for basketball is [...]
Not to be outdone by LeBron James‘ recent dunks, Kobe Bryant flashed some impressive ups on Sunday night.
The Lakers’ star threw down a powerful one-handed slam over the outreached arm of Josh Smith. Bryant didn’t quite posterize the Hawks’ forward, but that’s only because Smith was too scared to get in his way.
Bryant’s efforts didn’t quite match James’ two alley...
Kobe Bryant isn’t as spry as he once was, but every now and then he catches someone slipping. No usually, the person that is caught slipping isn’t as tall and athletic as Atlanta’s Josh Smith. But yesterday during the Lakers 99-98 win over the Hawks, Kobe turned back the clock and dunked on Smith like it was 2002 again.
The post Here’s Kobe Bryant dunking all over Josh Smith...
Sunday saw the Los Angeles Lakers do something they have not done in a long time--they made it back to .500 with a big win over the Atlanta Hawks, 99-98. Kobe Bryant led the way (shocker) with 34 points; 11 of which came in a tough fourth quarter including the last six for the team.

Give a kid a chance, a nudge in the right direction, and astounding things can happen. That’s the premise of “Give Me the Ball,” a new basketball campaign driven by Nike Greater China.
“Give Me the Ball” motivates players to dream big, speak up, take charge and make their own mark with just a basketball in their hands.

The Los Angeles Lakers may not be a team of destiny, or champions, or even a playoff team, but do not tell that to them, as they are on a torrid run. Apparently oblivious to the outside world, the Lakers have finally started playing the way they should have all year. They are now at .500, 30-30 and only 2.5 games back of the Houston Rockets for the final playoff spot. Here is...
With a win last night, the Los Angeles Lakers have pulled within two games of the Houston Rockets for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference. The Lakers are 4-1 since the All-Star break and 11-5 in their last 16. Kobe Bryant guaranteed the team would reach the postseason and Steve Nash is starting to really adapt to the Lakers’ role that went from juggernaut...
