Life is Just a Fantasy ... Basketball...:
The Toronto Raptors are more willing to part with Kyle Lowry than Jose Calderon, according to CBS Sport's Ken Berger. The gist is that Lowry has been in Toronto for less than a year, and he's already worn out his welcome.
As far as destinations, Berger says Lowry could land in Dallas or Atlanta since he has just $1 million of his contract guaranteed for next season. But really, what could Dallas offer for Toronto's most talent-rich player?
Raptors beat writer Ryan Wolstat tweeted taht the trade talk depends on who you talk with, and he finds that split "insane" for one big reason: Lowry has talent. Lots of it. And the Raptors need talented players if they're going to win games.

The Toronto Raptors would prefer to trade Kyle Lowry over Jose Calderon, according to league sources. Lowry was acquired last offseason from the Houston Rockets in exchange for Gary Forbes and a future first-round lottery pick. Lowry is averaging 13.8 points and 5.8 assists in 27.7 minutes behind Calderon.

Kyle Lowry is out Monday with back spasms, according to the Toronto Raptors.
No word on how long he'll be out. Jose Calderon gets a major boost.
Kyle Lowry will not dress (back spasms) for tonight's game vs. the Warriors. #Raptors

We’re less than 24 hours from the “Rajon Rondo has a torn ACL” announcement and I’m already drowning in columns, opinions and anal leakage about how the Celtics could, should and might move forward this season.
One thing is certain – the Celtics lack a true point guard. There are multiple reports stating the Raptors are prepared to move Kyle Lowry.
ESPN’s Marc Stein:...
Amir Johnson and Ed Davis continue to produce in starting roles.
In 37 minutes, Amir Johnson double-doubled with 18 points (7-12 FG, 4-4 FT) and 12 rebounds. He added an assist, a steal and a block. Johnson has dealt with an ankle injury but has played through it. He is t-o-u-g-h.
Davis played 36 minutes, scoring 16 points on 8-of-12 shooting. He also grabbed nine rebounds...

Cavs point guard is having a fantastic individual year so far, bringing excitement back to Cleveland basketball. Not only is Irving appearing in his first all-star game next month, he’s also recorded seven 30-point games this month. He’s had more than 30 in 4 of his last 5 games. And has hit 5 game winning shots in his short career.
Saturday night, it was the Toronto Raptors...
Uncle Drew is back to hitting game-winning shots. Irving drained a deep three pointer down by two points to sink the Toronto Raptors 99-98 on Saturday night. The was a cold-blooded shot by Irving even though the defender didn’t even get a hand in his face. This is the fifth game-winning shot by the 2013 All-Star in only two seasons in the league.
Kyle Lowry is on the Boston Celtics' growing wishlist of players to trade for before the February 21 trade deadline. The Toronto Raptors point guard's name was floated within a few hours of Rajon Rondo's season ending to an ACL tear.
ESPN's Marc Stein reported that the Celtics are more likely to chase Lowry than Rudy Gay. The question remains whether the Celts...
After being named as an All-Star reserve, what else is there to do for Cleveland Cavaliers point guard, Kyrie Irving, than to torch the souls of Toronto Raptors fans with this game winning three-pointer. With 13 seconds remaining Irving brings up the ball leisurely and has enough space thanks to Alan Anderson to drain a [...]The post Kyrie Irving’s Ice Cold Game-Winner Vs. Toronto...
The Raptors have made Jose Calderon and Ed Davis as the core of a trade offer for Rudy Gay.
No East team outside the Central Division seems to give the Cavs more fits than the very mediocre Raptors, who have won four straight games at The Q. Fortunately for the Cavs, Saturdays game is in Toronto, where they typically fare better (although they dropped a 113-99 decision there earlier this year). But theres no denying the young Cavs are finding themselves, having...
TORONTO -- Kyrie Irving scored 32 points, including the winning 3-pointer in the final second, as the Cleveland Cavaliers came back to defeat the Toronto Raptors 99-98 Saturday before a crowd of 18,820 at Air Canada Centre. The Cavaliers, who trailed by as many as 11 points in the game, got 17 points off the bench by Marreese Speights and 14 points from Toronto native Tristan...

In our Week 13 NBA power rankings we stated that the Toronto Raptors are probably out of the hunt for Rudy Gay.
The reasoning for that revolved around a four player trade that Memphis put together with Cleveland.
Now it looks like all hope may not be lost.

Old triple double king vs new triple double king.
Last night Rajon Rondo recorded his 4th triple double of the season. He's now got twice as many as anyone else; LeBron James and Jose Calderon (Seriously? Jose Calderon?) have two a piece. In last year's regular season Rondo had 6 triple doubles, while nobody else recorded more than one.
Over the past two seasons combined...
