After going six years without eating beef new Laker Chris Kaman is ready to get back into the game.
And what better way than to buy a cow?
According to Dave McMenamin of ESPN Los Angeles Kaman plans to purchase an entire cow's worth of beef along with center Robert Sacre and strength and conditioning coach Tim DiFrancesco. Trainer Gary Vitti reportedly backed out due to a lack of storage space.
"Gary Vitti ran out of freezer space so I think he’s out" Kaman told McMenamin. "So I got to pick up the slack. I’m happy to though."
Kaman plans to take half - all 200 pounds of it - while Sacre and DiFrancesco split the other half roughly 100 pounds each.
"I had to go to a Best Buy to go buy me a 15 cubic foot freezer" said Sacre who said the lofty purchase will run him about $1300 total. "It’s uh it’s intense."
DiFrancesco nicknamed "Grass-Fed Tim" sold the duo on the idea and Kaman is all in.
"I’m going to get a bunch of the bones too and boil them down and make some beef stock"
