The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Golden State Warriors last night, but they lost Kobe Bryant to what appears to be for the remainder of the season, as the All-Star suffered a “probable torn Achilles,” according to the team.Bryant left the game with just over three minutes left to play after suffering his injury. He knocked down two free throws before exiting the court. He will undergo an MRI today to determine the extent of the damage, but there is belief that he tore his Achilles.You could tell the severity of the injury based on Bryant’s post-game conference, as he was in tear while standing on crutches. Bryant has done everything he possibly can to help make Los Angeles a playoff team, playing at least 47 of the possible 48 minutes in each of his team’s last six games. He was at the 45-minute mark when he sustained his injury last night.Not only will Bryant miss the remainder of the season, but this injury could also impact the start of next year. Without the star guard, the Lakers are unlikely to make much of an impact in the playoffs.Follow @hoopsinjurynews!function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);js.id=id;js.src="http://www.nbainjurynews.com//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js";fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document,"script","twitter-wjs");
