We’ve got another NBA trade to report breaking at this hour. The Cleveland Cavaliers have sent Ramon Sessions & Christian Eyenga to the Los Angeles Lakers for Luke Walton and the Lakers 2012 first round draft pick.
The Lake show also gets the right to swap 2013 1st round picks with the Miami Heat.
The biggest significance of this deal? It’s a salary dump for L.A. Lakers fans in the Twitterverse are happy to see him go.
Walton’s career Stats: 2434 points, 1408 rebounds, 1121 assists, $28 million dollars in salaries. Walton was viewed as overpaid, so they’re happy to get anything for him in return. The Los Angeles Lakers have finally gotten rid of players I have seen fans complain about for years now: Derek Fisher and Luke Walton. Fisher has been a key part of the team's championships, but has struggled these past two years as the Lakers try to bring in more youth. As for Walton, there's really nothing to regret of him leaving. With that, the Lakers traded those...
For Laker fans everywhere, today was supposed to feel like Christmas. They were supposed to finally land Dwight Howard, a young PG and a Red Ryder BB Gun.
At first, everything seemed to be going well. The Lakers traded away Luke Walton and the contract from Hell to the Cavs along with a first pick for Ramon Sessions and Christian Eyenga. A great move, given that this...
Derek Fisher and Kobe Bryant joined the Los Angeles Lakers together in 1996. They've been in the same backcourt for most of the ensuing 16 seasons, winning five NBA titles during their intertwined careers.
Fisher's departure Thursday for Houston and Ramon Sessions' arrival from Cleveland made the Lakers younger and faster at point guard, their weakest position.
WHAT? NO COLDPLAY?
Pau Gasol is so relieved that he’s still a Laker he let it all out on stage at the UNICEFS’s Playlist with the A-list.. Pau lets loose on stage with The Fray “how to save a life”.. If only the Lakers had seen this a couple hours earlier.-TO

LOS ANGELES The root of the Lakers popularity is not simply their collection of NBA Championship trophies. It is driven by something more. The star-studded rosters, the front-row celebrities, and the palace intrigue that follows the Buss family and its quirky characters have long created a rock star aura that is rare even in professional sports.
At its heart, there is a romanticism...
After the NBA trade deadline, Los Angeles Laker, Pau Gasol, took to YouTube to address the Laker nation about how relieved he is to still be wearing his Laker uniform. Gasol was the talk of many trade rumors by the Lakers when they were trying to make a move to acquire Orlando Magic center, Dwight Howard. Now that the trade deadline is over, Gasol knows he is staying put in Los...
The Los Angeles Lakers are now a new team and are working towards getting younger after trading away Derek Fisher, Jason Kapono, and Luke Walton in exchange to get Ramon Sessions, Jordan Hill, and Christian Eyenga. What really has gotten most Laker fans is the departure of D-Fish, who has been a very important part of the Purple and Gold to get them five championships this past...

Ramon Sessions isn’t exactly Chris Paul but he will be a very welcome addition to the point-guard starved Lakers.
The NBA trade deadline has produced a few fireworks, one of the most interesting happening in Los Angeles. The Lakers have acquired point guard RAMON SESSIONS from Cleveland in exchange for its 2012 first round draft pick. L.A. will also get CHRISTIAN EYENGA, a second...
