Tim Tyers and Bob Young The Arizona Republic Jan. 11, 2004 An NBA insider in New York is saying that in five years, the recent multiplayer trade between the Knicks and Suns will be known as the Lampe trade, not the Marbury trade. So far, 18-year-old Maciej Lampe (MAH-chick LOMP-ay) has not made an NBA appearance. The Knicks put him on the injured list Oct. 27 with shin splints, and the Suns put him on the injured list Friday with back spasms to make room for the return of Amare Stoudemire and Zarko Cabarkapa. Lampe, 6 feet 11 and 240 pounds, was regarded as a lottery pick before last year's draft, but fell to the first pick of the second round (No. 30) due to questions over his contract status in Europe.

Landry Fields takes on “Billionaire”… and scores

If you’re a Knicks season ticket subscriber, it gets you some perks. Over the past few seasons, that’s meant overpriced seats for a terribly unwatchable product. Things may be a ‘changin. Juuuust sayin’. It’s only been one game back from the break, but the Knicks are becoming a hot ticket – if only for the curiosity of this delightfully-daring little experiment. The fellas...

Prime time players? Not just yet!

Jeremy Lin and the Knicks have something to build on.While the New York Knicks have some solid pieces to build on as they prepare for the second half of the regular season, it’s pretty clear from where I’m sitting that the still-evolving Knicks are not in the same elite class as the Miami heat and Chicago Bulls in the Eastern Conference. Yes, the Knicks will make a playoff appearance...

Tyson Chandler Concerned About Left Wrist Injury

Though Knicks head coach Mike D’Antoni isn’t worried about it, center Tyson Chandler sounds less sure about the gravity of his left wrist injury. From Zagsblog: “I’m gonna talk to the doctor today,’ Chandler, the Knicks’ defensive anchor at center, said Tuesday. ‘Like I said, I was hoping that the time off and the rest would help me out a little bit, but. …” Chandler...

Linsanity is competing with Marbury Madness in China after the Brooklyn native led the Beijing...
