The Detroit Pistons fired Lawrence Frank Thursday. Frank was guaranteed $4 million for the 2013-14 season and asked not to be retained if the team did not plan to pick up his team option of $4 million for the 2014-15 season. In 2 seasons, Frank led the Pistons to a losing 54-94 record. According to ESPN: The Detroit Pistons, as widely expected, have fired coach Lawrence Frank, according to sources close to the situation. The dismissal of Frank has been expected for some time, after the young Pistons lost 27 of 36 games in the second half season before winning four of their final five.
