Wilson Chandler tied his career high with 35 points and Ty Lawson's jumper with 0.2 seconds left lifted the Denver Nuggets to a 105-103 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday night.
Guarded tightly by Thabo Sefolosha, Lawson swished his jumper from just inside the 3-point arc on the right wing. With no time to catch and shoot, the Thunder failed to get off a final tip attempt after their timeout.
Kevin Durant had tied it with a driving bank shot with 17.6 seconds remaining. Andre Miller inbounded to Lawson, who never gave up the ball.
BEST OF MAXIM
Wilson Chandler led the way for the Denver Nuggets against the Oklahoma Thunder Friday night, but the night belonged to Ty Lawson after he hit this jumper from just inside the three-point line:
Even though he had not shot the ball real well (4-13, 0-3 from three point range prior to the game winner), Lawson had every intention of taking the shot or sending the game into...
Ty Lawson didn’t start the season the way fans – and critics – expected him to after inking a new deal with the Denver Nuggets, in fact, Lawson looked like he took a page out of Nene’s complacency book as he struggled to resemble the Lawson fans knew. Some labeled him as overrated, and to [...]The post Ty Lawson: Denver Nuggets Productive Leader appeared first on The NBA Mistress.
The Denver Nuggets faced off against the Oklahoma City Thunder Friday night and the game went right down to the wire. Ty Lawson hit the game winning shot for the Nuggets to win 105-103.
Besides the win, the best thing about this is Ty hitting his “Bernie Lean” after the basket. You know I LOVE dancing. Not sure what the Bernie is? Go Here for a quick reminder.
The Denver Nuggets went into the fourth quarter with a 10-point lead on the Oklahoma City Thunder, but couldn’t get as many fast-break points as they did earlier in the game. Thus with less than 17 seconds to go, Denver’s point guard, Ty Lawson, dribbles the ball, and hits a long-range two-pointer to seal a [...]The post Ty Lawson’s Game-Winner (and Bernie) Versus Thunder ...

Cue the music. Move it like Bern is happening. Has been way too long since I moved it like Bern so I think today is a good day to do it. Ty Lawson creates enough space to put a shot up over Thabo for the win. Just the Nuggets quietly sneaking up the Western Conference ranks. Iggy is playing better. No big deal here.
Move it like Bern.
Though the Oklahoma City Thunder score more than any other team in the NBA, it might be an improving defense that proves to be the difference in their title chase.
Friday night will see that defense face a tough test when the Thunder host the Denver Nuggets, whose high-octane attack has been bolstered by Ty Lawson's emergence as a dynamic scorer.
Oklahoma City (42-15) leads...
Some things you just have to see to believe.
Case-in-point...the insane circus shot that Kevin Durant hit Friday night in Denver against the Nuggets.
Now, we all know that the air is thinner in the Mile High City, which could be the only possible explanation for the amount of hang time Durant achieve this "Shot of the Year" candidate.
