Pass The Pill:
We’ve had some pretty great moments in Olympic basketball thus far, and the best ones have yet to come with the later stages coming up. Athletic players tend to thrive in international play, as the games can get more wide open and become a track meet.
You can now add Andres Nocioni to the list of the victims.
Watch the mean crossover that Leandro Barbosa gave Nocioni in today’s Brazil/Argentina matchup. Then maybe watch it again. He may not be the player that he once was, but Barbosa showed potential NBA suitors that he still has enough left in the tank to be a strong wing player.
That being said, Nocioni got the last laugh, as Argentina held off a fiesty Brazil team.
However, I think even Allen Iverson would be proud of Leandro Barbosa’s crossover.
Can someone get Nocioni some tape and some ice, please?

Earlier today Argentina’s men’s basketball team got the better of South American foe Brazil 82-77 to advance to the semifinals for the third consecutive Olympics. Familiar names to NBA fans led the way for Argentina as Luis Scola scored 17, Manu Ginobili and Carlos Delfino each added 16, and Andres Nocioni had 12. [...]
This is as good of an ankle breaker as you will see in any basketball game, ever. Poor Andres Nocioni looked like he was a lost child wandering around a mall with his pants down around his ankles. Poor little guy will have nightmares about this for quite a while. Argentina beat Brazil to land themselves in the semi-finals.

“Coach says that now”, confident Allen wants to start
Just after signing Kwame Brown to a two-year deal the second year being a player option, Coach Collins declared Brown the starter. Second year player Lavoy Allen, who was also re-signed will come off the bench for the Sixers. Allen, who after hearing Coach Collins statement came back with a very note worthy quote, “Coach...

We might be losing Iguodala folks, that's either great for some of you or horrible for the rest of you, eithere way this is beneficial for our Philadelphia franchise.
"There are multiple moving parts in the fluid talks”, said Rant Sports’ Director of Content Dan Parzych. “The framework of a possible deal includes Howard and Denver forward Al Harrington going to...

They are considered the best basketball players from Argentina so much so collectively they are called the "Golden Generation." Of course I am talking about Team Argentina with San Antonio Spurs' Manu Ginobili, Carlos Delfino, Fabricio Oberto, Carlos Delfino, Luis Scola, Andres Nocioni, and Pablo Prigioni.
Together, they have been considered one of the best teams in...
The Basketball Jones: Leandro Barbosa does Andres Nocioni like Tony Skinn did James Harden and some dude did Deron Williams. Remember those “NBA Street Series” DVDs from back when AND1 was running sh!t? Yeah, well, by the time these Olympic Games wrap up we’ll have been provided with enough footage to compile another volume and kick start the old fad.
