PLAYERS: LeBron James
TEAMS: Miami Heat
LeBron James is by far the best basketball player on the planet, but his days in playing in the Olympics are likely over. The 2016 Games are in Rio De Janeiro, and according to Yahoo Sports, as of today James would not play in the 2016 games. “LeBron is going to be three years older during the next Olympics (he’s 28 now). He will have two older boys. He has a lot to endure with his family,” a source told Yahoo! Sports. “He played in three Olympics. Everyone that knows LeBron knows it’s always based on a decision at that moment. But if the moment was today, the answer would be no. “The only way I could see him playing in the Olympics is if his country really, really needed him to play,” the source added. “But hasn’t he done enough?” James has helped the United State win back to back Gold Medals, but now it looks like the future of USA Basketball will be Kevin Durant.   Follow me on twitter @ScottBasketball  http://twitter.com/#!/ScottBasketballAlso like the Roundballchat site on fac...

Style: Lebron James’ Versace Argyle Medusa Printed T-shirt

Have you heard the hook on that new hip-hop track “Versace” by the Migos? “Versace, Versace, Medusa head on Me” is all I  repeated in my mind when I saw Lebron James’ recent shirt. Lebron was seen wearing a vibrant $422 Versace Argyle Medusa Printed T-shirt. Versace has certainly revitalized their brand among the younger generation with pro athletes like Lebron wearing...

GM On Rumors: The Beauty Of NBA Is That All This Stuff Is Drama

As was the case during the 09-10 season, speculation on where LeBron James will play following the upcoming season is one of the NBA's favorite storylines. James can elect for free agency in the 2014 offseason with both the Los Angeles Lakers and Cleveland Cavaliers in position to offer a max contract for him to leave the Miami Heat. "In general, the beauty of our league...

Russia doesn’t think very much of Chris Bosh

Here in the United States, Chris Bosh, LeBron James and Dwyane Wade are commonly referred to as the Big 3 for the Miami Heat. While James is obviously the Alpha-Dog of the group, one cannot dismiss the contributions of the two others. After all, head coach Eric Spoelstra is always quick to remind everyone just how important Bosh is to the team’s winning of the past two NBA Titles...

Lebron James selected as music curator for “NBA 2K14″

Following in the footsteps of Jay Z, Lebron James will curate the 20-song-soundtrack of the upcoming “NBA 2K14.” Lebron will also be working double duty as the game’s cover boy. James said in a statement that he is honored to be the first cover athlete to choose songs for the soundtrack. “2K is letting me take control of some important elements in NBA 2K14, including this...

U.S. Airman Nathaniel Mills Threw Down a Windmill Dunk in Army Fatigues

With LeBron James’ days of playing for Team USA likely close to finished, maybe Nathaniel Mills should enlist. The national team culminated a four-day minicamp in Las Vegas with an open scrimmage, but the young standout wasn’t Kyrie Irving or Anthony Davis. The show-stopper was the U.S. Air Force airman who took the court during a timeout and wowed the crowd with this windmill...

LeBron James Is SportsCenter’s Most Mentioned Athlete

If you are like me, I’m sure you sometimes sit and wonder, who is SportsCenter’s most mentioned athlete. For about a year and half, I’m sure it was Tim Tebow hands down, but with Tebowmania being no more, we have to wonder who gets the most mentions. Thanks to some numbers crunching and investigations, there may finally be a winner. According to a recent report published by...

Looking Forward: How USA Basketball will still be dominant without LeBron

It has been less than a year since the United States men’s national basketball team was adorned with gold medals for their victory against Spain in the 2012 London Olympics finals.  In what should have been a quiet summer for Team USA, they have been making headlines for LeBron James seemingly ending his career with the team, with the recent announcement that he will not participate...

Kevin Durant and Friends Hit the Drew League

Summer is serious. And Kevin Durant is not nice. Okay so those are both Nike slogans, but they were proven to be 100% truthful yesterday at the Nike-sponsored Drew League in Compton, CA. The high-school sized gym was filled from wall to wall, with media cramming the baseline under each basket to witness some of the most start-studded summer basketball in Drew League history. For...

Carmelo Anthony: Not Prepared to Consider Long-Term Future With New York Knicks

While many outlets may be more focused if LeBron James will leave the Miami Heat in the future or not, here’s an article from the New York Post about Carmelo Anthony who makes it clear he’s not ready to predict if he will stay with the New York Knicks long-term or not. Beat the Heat, Chasing the Formula

The Miami Heat obviously have a lot to be happy about.  Three straight years of Eastern conference dominance coupled with two titles alongside two MVP trophies proves that Miami is the cream of the NBA's crop, and rightfully so, analysts and critics can't talk NBA without talking Heat basketball. When Derrick Rose called himself the best player in the league the criticism...

Hawkeyes to Face Xavier in Atlantis

Below is the release on the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament. Iowa will face Xavier in the first round and if they win that they will likely play Tennessee, who will be a borderline Top 25 team to start the year. If they win both, their opponent in the title game would likely be against Kansas, who will be a top 15 preseason team since they signed Andrew Wiggins in May. Many feel...
