TEAMS: Miami Heat
LeBron James and his Miami Heat teammates had to work overtime to beat the Raptors 123-116 last night. James scored 31 points and Dwyane Wade scored 35 points. The Heat scored 14 points in the overtime period while holding the Raptors to only 7 points. LeBron played a good game to help his Heat get to a 27-12 record on the season. Could James and his Heat team be looking for ring number 2? The Miami Heat have a 3 game lead in their division and it looks like they are playing another season of solid basketball. The combination of James and Wade is too much for other teams to handle. Either guy could be a star on any other NBA team. When you have the two of them together watch out, they are UN-stoppable. The Heat is going to be a team to contend with again this year once the play offs start.

Chris Bosh videobombs LeBron James

Miami Heat center Chris Bosh was back to his old ways as he videobombed teammate LeBron James during a live postgame interview after the team's 123-116 overtime win over the Toronto Raptors Wednesday night. LeBron recorded his 34th career triple double with 31 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds. LeBron was wrapping up his interview when Bosh quietly snuck up behind him to get...

LeBron and Savannah Strike a Pose

LeBron earns 17.5 million from the Heat, which one economist says makes him grossly underpaid. I don’t know, the dude just plays basketball for a living.-TO LeBron James and Dwyane Wade Sing Karaoke LeBron...

Bosh will join Wade, LeBron in All-Star Game

MIAMI They werent the Big Three then. But on Feb. 19, 2006, LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh all got together in Houston for the first time at an NBA All-Star Game. The All-Star Game is back in Houston next month. And for the eighth consecutive year, the three stars all will be teammates for the Eastern Conference. Bosh, a Miami center, was named as a reserve Thursday...

Dwyane Wade looks back at full strength

MIAMI -- Fortunately for Dwyane Wade, there is plenty of wood paneling in the Miami locker room. So the Heat guard didn't have to go far when he said "knock on wood" and then did just that after his team's 123-116 overtime victory Wednesday night over Toronto at the AmericanAirlines Arena. Wade, who had left knee surgery last July, said early in the season it...

Heat's Ray Allen Could Retire After the Season

Ray Allen has taken a beating on the court.  In his NBA career, Allen has taken all the normal abuse a player takes while running up and down an NBA court for 48 minutes per game.  After all his time in the league, Allen may finally be ready to call it a career.  Allen is contemplating retirement after this season.Gery Woelfel of the Racine Journal Times had a chance to speak...

Chris Bosh Videobombs LeBron During Post-Game interview (Video)

When things are going well and you are somewhat bored, you get antics like this from Chris Bosh who was up to his old tricks again. In the video Bosh creeps into a LeBron post game interview for a slick video bomb.   My only question is did Bosh...

State of the Heat: Best is yet to come?

MIAMI _ Whether they're better in the first half of the regular season or in the second half really hasn't mattered when it has come to Miami Heat championships. In 2005-06, the Heat were superior in the second half. After a 24-17 start, which included Stan Van Gundy going 11-10 before being replaced as coach by Pat Riley, the Heat went 28-13 in the second half and won the...

An as of yet unnamed fan at the Miami Heat vs Detroit Pistons game on Friday night was asked to take center court at halftime. His mission? Sink a half court HOOK SHOT to win $75,000. Not only did this lucky fan drain it, he gets mobbed by none other than LeBron James. White House visit familiar territory for Pat Riley

MIAMI When Pat Riley last visited the White House to mark the Miami Heats 2006 championship, he told President and Republican George W. Bush he had voted for him. So whats the Miami Heat president going to tell President and Democrat Barack Obama on Monday when his team again visits the White House? Heres how I am about that, said Riley, who Friday wouldnt reveal his vote in last...

Pistons at Heat game preview

Game time: 7:30 p.m. ETTV: Sun Sports Minus Dwyane Wade, Miami's lengthy winning streak versus Detroit came to an end last month. Based on the way Wade has performed in the last two games overall, the Heat might have a good chance to lay the foundation for another positive run against the Pistons. Coming off his highest-scoring game of the season, Wade looks to help the Heat...

Economist says at $17.5 million a year LeBron is getting “hosed” by the Heat

via Planet Money:         Always knew LeBron was worth a lot but never knew it was this bad. Everyone took a pay cut when coming to Miami but it seems LeBron was cut a little deeper. LeBron James is arguably the best player in the NBA. His salary is $17.5 million a year. He’s worth much, much more. “He’s getting hosed,” says Kevin Grier, an economist from the University...

LeBron James’ ridiculous travel (VIDEO)

NBA refs call traveling like the German police write up speeding on the Autobahn.  The bigger the superstar, the lesser the likelihood you will get called for traveling. And that’s why LeBron got away with this doozy of a walk Friday night against the Pistons.  It should take at least two dribbles to get the hole from half court, right?  RIGHT?  Not when you’re LBJ.

2012-13 NBA Mid-Season Performance Awards

Who’s the best player on the planet? The misconception about the “All-Star Break” is that it signifies the midway point of the NBA season.  In reality it is only the official, unofficial (if that makes sense) half way point of the season.  By the time the All-Star game is played most NBA teams would have played between 52-55 games in a 82 game season.  It doesn’t take...
