The King meets the Champs. (I feel bad for writing this.)
NBA Superstar Lebron James is teaming up with sports apparel center Champs Sports for a holiday-based digital content, e-commerce partnership. Under the deal, James will star in a four-part video cover story in the next issue of SWAG -- a digital publication created by Champs Sports that was launched in August. The magazine, seemingly reminiscent of a Sports Illustrated for Kids, provides content geared towards a teen audience and features a look at the world of sports through the eyes of sports' most prominent athletes.
The Lebron James issue will be available on iTunes, starting December 10th.
“LeBron James is the athlete who most resonates with the core Champs Sports customer, so partnering with him to produce original content and integrate marketing efforts across both brands is a tremendous opportunity for us,” said Frank Bracken, vice president of marketing, Champs Sports. “And LeBron’s digital footprint is so l...

James replaced Bulls point guard Derrick Rose, who...

Skip Bayless writing lead columns for ESPN.com, sadly, is becoming a trend that looks like it's here to stay.
For reasons unbeknownst to anyone outside the Bristol bubble, ESPN has once again chosen Skip Bayless to talk about an important sports topic outside of Tim Tebow and LeBron James. This time, it's a column on this year's Heisman race arguing...
How did Lebron James, Dwyane Wade and Mario Chalmers spend the night before facing off against the surging Brooklyn Nets? On a 20-mile bike ride. The Heat teammates participated in Miami’s Critical Mass ride. LeBron’s fianceé, Savannah Brinson and DWade’s Lady love Gabrielle Union were on hand as well. Lebron & DWade have been into [...]

OKLAHOMA CITY Maybe it's because Russell Westbrook is struggling and former running mate James Harden is gone, but Kevin Durant is getting back to his old self.
It's not like anyone was concerned Durant was in a slump, but his slow-scoring start was notable.
But that's changed. And so have the Thunder.
The three-time scoring champion is looking more familiar, and...
