MIAMI -- LeBron James missed by one vote being the unanimous MVP. At least he's a unanimous selection for the All-NBA first team.
The Miami Heat star received all possible 119 media votes for one of the forward spots in the balloting that was announced Thursday. It marks his seventh selection to the first team and ninth pick to any team in his 10 seasons.
The Heat also placed guard Dwyane Wade on the third team. It's the eighth time he's made one of the All-NBA teams in his 10 seasons.
The remainder of the first team included Oklahoma City's Kevin Durant at forward, San Antonio's Tim Duncan at center and the Lakers' Kobe Bryant and Clippers' Chris Paul at guards.
New York forward Carmelo Anthony, who received one first-place vote to deny James a unanimous MVP, headlined the second team. He was joined by Clippers forward Blake Griffin, Memphis center Marc Gasol and guards Tony Parker of San Antonio and Russell Westbrook of Oklahoma City.
In addition to Wade, the third team included forwards David Lee of Golden State and Paul George of Indiana, Lakers center Dwight Howard and Houston guard James Harden.
Heat center Chris Bosh fell short in his quest to be honored. He was fourth in others receiving votes.

This year athletes have seemed to press the envelope more than ever when it comes to their fashion choices, and that proved no truer than when Dwyane Wade wore a double-breasted, polka dot, capri pants suit to game four of the Eastern Conference semifinals.

Um, that’s a serious endorsement.
Dwyane Wade has a deal with Gatorade, and apparently that deal includes massive amounts of Gatorade. How massive? Well, so massive that he has a refrigerator stocked with all flavors of the drink — hundreds of bottles’ worth — in his house.
Wade is also, by his account, giving away a lot of that Gatorade to his children, which would be a...
The Michael Jordan and LeBron James comparisons will probably follow the players throughout the duration of LeBron’s career. The players will be constantly asked their thoughts, regardless of whether or not it actually has merit. Remember when Jordan when Jordan did an interview with ESPN Magazine and shared his thoughts on how he would stop [...]
In a new issue of Jet magazine, Dwyane Wade talks about being a great dad but a bad husband. The animosity between Dwyane and his ex-wife Siohvaughn Wade has been well documented. He shared how he ended up with full custody and what he’s looking forward to in the future.
“I didn’t set out to get full custody but I wasn’t able to see my kids the way I wanted and I’m not...

LeBron James, Kobe Bryant and Kevin Durant might have found their names in the headlines more during this 2012-13 NBA season, but the league’s breakout star has been the Indiana Pacers’ Paul George.
The third-year player has the hardware to prove it, too. George was named an NBA All-Star this season and won the NBA Most Improved Player award. The Pacers swingman was also named...
