Welp, so much for the Keyon comeback. He got on Twitter to say that it’s not happening:
Hey everyone thank you for all the love and support that you guys give me daily.FYI I won’t be returning this season #StayTuned @celticslife
— Keyon Dooling (@AmbassadorKD) January 30, 2013
He went on to basically thank Celtics fans for their support and say that he’s not sure “what the future holds” for him. The folks from Sportsality say he may be “getting ready for next season”. Not sure what, if anything, this means as far as the Celts’ current PG situation. But as Keyon says, stay tuned….

Remember when Jared Sullinger slid in the draft because of back problems?
Jared Sullinger left last night's game early in the first quarter. He entered the locker room and never returned. The Celtics won anyway but obviously the team can't afford many more injuries to their key players after losing Rajon Rondo for the season.
The report came out that it was back spasms...
Danny Ainge went on WEEI Thursday afternoon and had all the usual general managerish things to say about possible moves the Celtics could make, meaning he didn’t have much to say.
I’m not entirely sure why people ask Danny Ainge, or any other general manager for that matter, questions about trades.
Do people expect an honest answer? Do they expect him to say, “Oh yea, we’re...
Interesting tidbit from ESPN's Ric Bucher on a potential hold-up in any deal the Celtics try to draw up involving Kevin Garnett, as Bucher has spoken with two NBA GM's who do not think KG will finish out his current contract before retiring. From Bucher's Sulia post:
I keep being asked about deals involving Kevin Garnett going somewhere. Hard to imagine that happening...
On Wednesday night the Celtics faced the Kings in what might have be the last time a Sacramento team comes to the TD Garden. The Celtics looked to begin the first chapter of their season without Rajon Rondo who was diagnosed with a torn ACL after pregame warm-ups Sunday. The Kings came to town amidst a potential relocation to Seattle and looked to get their second win over the Celtics...
A torn ACL is a death sentence to any athlete. When a star in the league suffers that gruesome injury, all you can do is feel for them. It is a helpless feeling being that player, especially when they believe it is only a minor injury. That was the case for Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo, after he thought he had only hyperextended his knee during Boston’s double overtime loss...
My exact face when I found out Rajon Rondo was out for the season.
It is time my friends, time to say good-bye to this current Celtics group, and start to realize that the quest for 18 this season is over. Possibly, even out for a while.
After Rajon Rondo tore his Anterior Cruciate Ligament, I realized, we just aren't that good, and heck, we should have realized that after...
Despite the legacy that the Boston Celtics carry with them as the league's franchise with the most championships and the fact that it wasn't until the middle of the 2000s where they brought about alternate road-jerseys, it may come as a surprise to fans today that they have possessed as many logos as they've had over the years. Above is a breakdown of them.
In the wake of Rajon Rondo's season ending injury, Celtics coach Doc Rivers has to make a decision as to who he should start at guard alongside Avery Bradley. Against Miami on Sunday Rivers chose Courtney Lee instead of Jason Terry or Leandro Barbosa. It appears that Doc will keep giving the nod to Lee for the time being:
#Celtics coach Doc Rivers: Courtney Lee will continue...
Keyon Dooling is currently serving as the Celtics' coordinator of player development.
As we sit here on January 30th, there are very few unknowns on the NBA landscape. After all, the season is three months old, and most teams have played anywhere from 42 to 47 games thus far. Every one of the 30 NBA teams has advanced scouts that know just about every potential line-up that a team could throw on the floor at any time, and how to defend said line-up. In the year 2013...

The Boston Celtics came out with a whole lot more than vengeance on their minds. Still, in the end, that is what they got.
Playing their first game with the weight of the knowledge that Rajon Rondo will not be returning this season, the Celtics avenged an embarrassing defeat by dispatching the Sacramento Kings, 99-81.
Exactly one month ago, the Celtics visited Sacramento and left...
7:04: The Celtics, coming off their great win over the Heat, will host the Kings tonight. Obviously, there will be no Rondo due to his torn ACL. We will likely see Bradley, Lee, and Terry share the point guard position. The Kings are a weak 17-29 and not favored to win this game. I think this game will be close but I pick the Celts to pull it out. Keep checking back here after each...
Boston makes it two in a row last night as they beat the Kings 99-81. Celtics had a solid night offensively as they had 6 players in double-figures and got 50 points from the bench. C’s are now off before facing the Magic on Friday night. Tip-off’s at 7:30pm EST tomorrow evening at TD Garden.
Check out some pics & GIFs from last night’s action..
Boston Celtics star Paul Pierce showed up for his pre-practice meeting with reporters carrying a basketball, which he bounced from time to time while answering questions.
Get used to it: Pierce will have the ball in his hands a lot more from now on.
Two days after learning that Rajon Rondo has a torn knee ligament that will keep him out the rest of the season, the Celtics returned...
