Los Angeles Clippers: Paul George Already a Bona Fide Hall of Famer as Endorsed by 1-Time NBA All-Star Guard
Jayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Clippers notched a 120-118 over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday, as Paul George sparked a rousing 26-point comeback for their 50th win of the 2023-24 campaign.

Paul George finished the game with 39 points, including 23 in the final period and the game-winning shot. He also recorded 11 rebounds, seven assists, one steal, and one block, and made all 16 of his free throws.

His performance was so impressive that Cleveland Cavaliers guard Darius Garland was in awe. After the game, Garland said that Paul George deserves to be inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame someday.

“Tough. Hall-of-Famer. What can you say? He hit some tough shots. He hit a tough shot over Evan (Mobley) for the game,” Darius Garland said about Paul George’s game-winner via Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints on X (formerly known as Twitter).

“Just a tip our hat off to him. He’s a Hall-of-Famer and just live with the results and try to make it as tough as we can,” he added.

Does Paul George deserve to make it to the Basketball Hall of Fame?

Since joining the NBA in 2010, Paul George has grown into a bona fide star, with stops with the Indiana Pacers and Oklahoma City Thunder before going to the Los Angeles Clippers in 2019.

Paul George is a nine-time NBA All-Star, one-time member of the All-NBA First Team, five-time member of the All-NBA Third Team, two-time member of the NBA All-Defensive First Team, two-time member of the NBA All-Defensive Second Team, among others, and was the winner of the Most Improved Player of the Year award in 2013.

If he and the Los Angeles Clippers somehow win the NBA championship this year, that should give him a huge boost to his credentials.

But whether he makes it or not, Paul George is a widely respected figure in the NBA, especially since Charlotte Hornets rookie forward Brandon Miller called him his “GOAT.”
