Los Angeles Clippers: Season Review and Awards
By Mike Elworth: Owner and Publisher at Hoopstuff
Record: 52-30- 4th in West- Lost in First Round to Memphis
Review: The Clippers had a brilliant regular season and in fact, had their best season in franchise history, winning their first ever division title, but lost to a better Memphis Grizzlies team in the first round of the playoffs. The Grizzlies are about to make the Western Conference Finals, so it was simply a very poor matchup for the Clippers. In the regular season, they had an excellent offense, led by Chris Paul and Blake Griffin and both All Stars had their usual superstar level seasons. They had one of the best benches in the league, led by Jamal Crawford, Eric Bledsoe and Matt Barnes and even received solid play from Lamar Odom. The rest of the team played their parts well, but in the end, a poor playoff run can ruin even the best of regular seasons.

LOS ANGELES -- After an All-Star season in which he led the NBA in steals, with 2.4 per game, Clippers point guard Chris Paul was named on Monday to the NBA All-Defensive First Team.
Paul received 37 total votes (15 first place and seven second place) from the leagues coaches, who vote for the award. Joining him on the First Team are Miamis LeBron James, Oklahoma Citys Serge Ibaka...
DRAW 'EM TO DALLAS
With the Mavericks missing the playoffs for the first time since 2000, Dirk Nowitzki hopes the team sets its sights on either Dwight Howard or Chris Paul.
Chris Paul. Derrick Rose. Russell Westbrook. Rajon Rondo. Deron Williams. These are all names you hear when NBA fans discuss who the top Point Guards in the league are. Every time I hear this conversation, there’s always one name that is missing that should be included on this list, and that name is Mike Conley [...]

With Andrew Wiggins committing to Kansas this week, several of ESPN's writers that follow high school basketball recruiting offered their opinion on who they would choose to build a team around.
Tyus Jones, the No. 2 overall recruit for 2014 and an excellent point guard, was selected by Paul Biancardi, Adam Finkelstein and John Stovall.
"Point guards make the world go...
The NBA announced it’s All Defensive first team today. Tony Allen, Chris Paul, Joakim Noah/Tyson Chandler (tied), Serge Ibaka, and LeBron James were on the first team.
Avery Bradley made the second team. Here’s how that second team looks:
Tim Duncan, San Antonio
Paul George, Indiana
I don’t think Dwight Howard would help the Mavericks that much. They would make the playoffs, but if they are talking about making another run to the Finals, I think Chris Paul is the player they want to focus on.
Dirk just wants any type of help he can get, here is what he had to say about CP3 and Dwight courtesy of Pro Basketball Talk.
We’d love to get one of those two. We’d...
The 2012-13 NBA All-Defensive First Team consists of guards Tony Allen (highest votes – 53) and Chris Paul, forwards LeBron James (second highest votes – 52) and Serge Ibaka, as well as both Tyson Chandler Joakim Noah whose votes tied for the center position.
The NBA All-Defensive Second Team consists of guards Avery Bradley and Mike Conley, forwards Tim Duncan and Paul George...
The Dallas Mavericks have had two relatively difficult seasons since winning The Finals in 2011.
The Mavericks were eliminated in the first round of the 2012 NBA Playoffs and didn't qualify in 2013.
The Mavericks were unable to sign Deron Williams last offseason and are hoping to have better success this offseason in signing either Dwight Howard or Chris Paul.

Review: After the great “deal or no deal” trade drama following the Chris Paul fiasco, the Lakers were finally able to land that great star they were looking for, in Dwight Howard. The franchise’s great expectations were revived once again, as Superman arrived...
With our main man of style, Russell Westbrook, out with an injury, the NBA has seen a new rise in fashion trends during these 2013 NBA Playoffs. Now whether these trends are hip or not, who is to say? But these outfits have to be the most bizarre of the season.
#10 Dwight Howard
Not sure what Dwight Howard was thinking when he choice this ensemble, but he kind of reminds me of...
The NBA’s All-Defensive Team was announced yesterday, rewarding LeBron James, Chris Paul, Tyson Chandler, Joakim Noah and Tony Allen as standout floor-slappers (Allen led the voting). Notice anyone missing? How bout the league’s Defensive POY? Marc Gasol was left on the 2nd team. Raising the question…..um, what?
