NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- Charlotte Bobcats starting forward Corey Maggette has left Monday night's game against the New Orleans Hornets with back spasms and team officials say he will not return in the second half. Maggette played 10 minutes in the first half, shooting 1 for 4 for two points. He was ruled out for the rest of the game during the third quarter. Maggette entered the game averaging a team-best 16.2 points per game.

Charlotte Bobcats forward Corey Maggette was forced to leave Monday's game against the New Orleans because of back spasms. Maggette played just 10 minutes, scoring four points on 1 of 4 shooting before exiting. He did not return. Maggette, a starter, came into the game averaging a team-high 16.2 points in his first season with the Bobcats.
