Despite some speculation that the 35-year-old guard would retire, Manu Ginobili announced via Twitter Wednesday that he’s agreed to a two-year deal to return with the Spurs.
The 10-year NBA veteran averaged 11.8 points, 4.6 assists and 3.4 rebounds in 23 minutes per game this season – missing 21 games to injury. He also contributed 11.5 points, 5 assists and 3.7 rebounds in 22 postseason games before losing the NBA Finals to the Heat, but overall had a disappointing playoff performance.
