The Mars Reel:
via CBS Sports:
Mario Chalmers averaged 12.2 points per game in his three seasons at Kansas and was most remembered for his game-tying three-pointer that sent the 2008 national championship game against Memphis into overtime. The Jayhawks would go on to beat the Tigers, 75-68, and capture the program’s fifth national championship. Chalmers became the 28th former Kansas basketball player to have his jersey number retired Saturday as his No. 15 jersey was hung up in the rafters of Phog Allen Fieldhouse during halftime of the Jayhawks’ game against Texas this weekend.
Per CBS Sports:
LAWRENCE, Kan. — There’s a montage of some of the greatest moments in the history ofKansas basketball that is played before every game at Allen Fieldhouse, and almost without fail, the loudest ovation comes at the moment when Mario Chalmers hits “the shot.”
Never has the ovation been louder than it was Saturday night.

To the benefit of Illuminati conspiracy theorists everywhere, Lebron may or may not have flashed a hand sign similar to that of the "eye in the pyramid" gesture popularized by Jay-Z of rapping and Brooklyn Nets ownership fame. LeBron James is the best player in the NBA today. He is the reigning NBA MVP and Finals MVP. This month along, he has dominated the game making history by becoming the first player in the league to score at least 30 points while averaging over 60 percent shooting average in six straight games. However even after you calculated all of LeBron’s accomplishments, Michael Jordan...

This is the nature of NBA All-Star weekend, which finishes with the All-Star game at 8 p.m. ET Sunday at Toyota Center in Houston. It is a weekend for sorting things out whos better than whom, what is the state of the NBA, how popular is basketball globally...
What a exciting Saturday Night from NBA ALL Star Weekend, I watched one of my favorite Point Guards Kyrie Irving take home the 3pt shootout trophy, and the young kid Terrance Ross jump out the Gym as he won the Sprite Slam Dunk Competition. Umm, I missed everything else, but those two events had me hyped enough. But you know me, my eyes were stuck on the style of the evening, as...

LeBron James sits down and chats with CNN’s Rachel Nichols during All-Star 2013 in Houston to talk about his first half run and compares his shooting accuracy to sitting on the beach with a tennis ball: “no matter where you throw it, it’s going to land in the water”, among other topics including the never ending Jordan/James debate.
To make your own way is to be in control of your own destiny. To go where others won’t, or can’t. For his entire career, Dwyane Wade has been determined to do what others haven’t, and he’s achieved success at every level. Now, with a new partner, China’s powerhouse athletic brand Li-Ning, Wade continues to make his own way.
LeBron James and Jay Z once again teamed up for their annual NBA All-Star dinner celebration which they have dubbed “2 Kings.” The event took place at Houston’s RDG Bar Annie. Chris Bosh is not playing one of his best games right now during the first half of the NBA All Star game. Other than the continuos missed shots Bosh had, the most embarrassing had to be when Chris Paul dribbled between his legs. Bad thing is, Tony Parker did as well.
At the end of the first half the West lead 69-65, with Wade leading the east with 12 points and Durant leading...
Kyrie Irving cut through the lane, caught a pass from Dwyane Wade and banked in a layup in a play that would not make any of the highlight reels for the 2013 NBA All-Star Game. In an exhibition filled with Blake Griffin dunks, Kobe Bryant blocks and Chris Bosh misfortune, the most basic play imaginable capped a night that changes everything for Irving.
Make no mistake, Irving has...
