Mark Cuban is serious about his business and ventures and about his NBA franchise the Dallas Mavericks.  If you’ve ever wondered which one is more important to Cuban, all you have to do is read the comments from his conversation with ESPN Dallas. Cuban who hates to see his team lose, says “he’s got money, but wants championships, and hates losing games more than losing money.” “I’ve got money,” Cuban said. “I like that trophy a hell of a lot more than I like money.” Cuban is the owner of several small businesses that make money, but hints that the Mavs are not just some hobby, he takes his basketball team serious. “I don’t ever plan starting with the bottom line and work backwards,” Cuban said. “I always plan (starting with) what we can do to win and work backwards.” “You operate as a business from the perspective of your customer. You want to give the best service, create the best atmosphere, make everybody happy. But I’ve made money and lost money, won games and lost games. “Losing games hurts a whole lot worse than losing money.” Obviously Cuban has taken some heat for letting Tyson Chandler leave and not closing the deal with bigtime free agents.  Cuban though insist he takes his team seriously.
