Dallas Mavericks center Brendan Haywood was ruled out of Sunday's Game 3 of the NBA Finals because of a strained right hip flexor.Haywood was injured in Wednesday's Game 2 at Miami. He was only able to participate in a limited, non-contact practice on Saturday.The 7-foot backup center had a combined five points and seven rebounds in the first two games of the series.Haywood's absence will elevate Ian Mahinmi into the backup slot at center.
