Dallas Mavericks guard Jason Terry admitted that he was scared after he felt ill while driving to the arena.
"I was scared. I feared for my life," Terry said of Monday's ordeal. "I was literally driving down the tollway and I felt something I had never felt before. It's hard to explain what it was, but it was life-fearing; just not being in control for a split second. My body, it seemed like it wanted to just shut down."
Terry immediately called Mavericks trainer Casey Smith for assistance.
When he reached the arena, an ambulance was waiting to take Terry to the hospital. He was examined and given a clean bill of health.
