Cavaliers (2-6) vs. Mavericks (5-5) - Game 9

OPENING TIP The Dallas Mavericks are a team in transition, a team thats making changes while aiming to stay relevant. Its an interesting way to do things for the franchise won a title two seasons ago -- but so far, so good. Or at least so not-too-shabby. The Mavs know Dirk Nowitzki wont be around forever. He certainly wont be around for the game tonight in Cleveland, as the All...

The Dallas Mavericks cheerleader outfits are getting skimpier (Pictures)

Personally, I don't exactly know who approved the Dallas Mavericks cheerleader outfits but I'm going assume that some intrepid individual wanted to make them a little skimpier. Here are a couple photos from a recent game against the Portland Trail Blazers and well, the cloth to skin ratio is pretty small:(Images courtesy of the Associated Press/Ball Don't Lie)

Kyrie Irving Gives Cavaliers a Scare, Returns to Game

In his second year out of Duke University, Kyrie Irving has given Cleveland Cavaliers fans a reason to show up to the arena.  They sure aren't showing up to see a competitive team.  Cleveland is just 2-7 on the season, but they have a star in Irving.  Last night, though, that star gave the team a scare.  Irving had to exit the game in the third quarter with an apparent hand...

Kyrie Irving stars in Foot Locker ad, "Week Of Greatness" (Video)

Earlier in the week, Foot Locker released this viral video featuring Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving as part of their "Week of Greatness" promotion.I think this advertisement brings a whole new meaning to the term "Hang Time":

Oft-Injured Free Agent, Derek Fisher, of No Interest to Mavericks

When you play in the NBA as long as Derek Fisher has, you're bound to go through some injuries.  Those injuries, combined with age, make it tough to land another job as a free agent.  That's what Fisher is dealing with now.  He had been talking to the Dallas Mavericks, but it appears they are not interested right now.Despite the obvious need for point guard help, the...

No-fun learning process continues for Cavs

CLEVELAND -- Some nights, you just dont have it. Some nights, you really do -- and the Dallas Mavericks were the latter on Saturday. Man, were they ever. Standing there on the other side, witnessing it all, were the poor Cavaliers. And by poor, were talking about five straight losses, two straight at home and just not a whole lot of confidence that this team is headed anywhere...

Many of the Dallas Mavericks' best performances this season have come on their home court, which may not bode well for the visiting Golden State Warriors.
