The Dallas Mavericks and Lamar Odom have reached an agreement to end their relationship, according to The Fort Worth Star-Telegram. The terms of the agreement would not call for Odom's release from the squad, so he can not be picked up by any other team. Instead, Odom will be listed as inactive until the end of the year. The Mavericks acquired Odom before the start of the season and the two parties never seemed like a right fit for each other. Dallas gave up a 8.9 million trade exception to the Los Angeles Lakers for the power-forward. "It just didn't work out like we thought it would,'' a source said, the Star-Telegram. "But we wish Lamar nothing but the best.''
