Dallas Mavericks center Chris Kaman stepped outside of the basketball world for a few minutes during a recent radio interview and tackled a subject that seems to be important to him.
Kaman, a gun owner, gave his take on gun legislation. The 30-year-old, who signed a one-year deal with the Mavericks in July, said he understands some aspects of the firearm regulations being discussed in Washington but adds that there's still plenty he doesn't comprehend.
"Listen, I'm just saying, I'm a big time advocate for gun control, all that," Kaman said on 1310 The Ticket KTCK-AM in Dallas on Thursday, according to The Dallas Morning News. "But it's got to be within reason. You don't just kill the whole deal."
