Posted to The Bull PenThere was a bit of speculation surrounding Doug McDermott after the Chicago Bulls first Summer League game. The Creighton product only produced 10 points in his debut, while Denver guard Gary Harris (whom the Bulls trade for McDermott) had 30. McDermott put all the criticism to rest earlier tonight though as he showed the world why his name is “Dougie McBuckets”. McDermott had 31 points on 7-of-12 shooting (5-9 from 3-point line) as the Bulls beat Harris and the Nuggets 103-76 in Las Vegas. Tony Snell, who came off a 27-point effort in the team’s first game, had 23. The team as a whole went 19-of-36 (52.8%) from behind the arc in front of Tom Thibodeau and Bulls management. OMG…McBuckets is on the stage and is shining — chuck swirsky (@swirsk054) July 14, 2014 McDermott about to be named to the Summer League Hall of Fame after this performance — chuck swirsky (@swirsk054) July 14, 2014 Playing for a team that struggled to put the ball in the basket last year, McDermott could be a huge boost if he is able to produce even half of the night he just had. Between him, Pau Gasol and Nikola Mirotic, the Bulls will have the ability to stretch the floor in almost any scenario. He has a very quick release and seemed comfortable anywhere on the court. I know it is only Summer League, but let me tell you, these guys looked GOOD. Hopefully it translates into the regular season. 424 total views, 424 views today The post McDermott, Bulls Put on Shooting Clinic in Summer League appeared first on ✶ Sports Mockery ✶ Chicago ✶.
