Pass The Pill:
Metta World Peace was frustrated with Dwight Howard and his joking ways
You know it’s not good when Metta World Peace says he is frustrated with you. During an interview with ABC 7′s Sports Zone, Peace talked about his frustration with Dwight Howard and his goofing around. Peace responded to a question asked from Lisa Leslie about Howard’s jovial personality and if it bothered him.
Via Lakers Nation:
“At first it did. When I first met Dwight in our first practices together and our first games in the regular season I was like, ‘he’s joking a little bit too much.’ But then I decided not to judge people and I decided to work with my teammates — so as I got into more games with Dwight — I did see him working really hard, blocking shots, playing with a back injury, but he was still playing hard. So then I said, ‘you know what, we just have to work with what we have.’ But at first, it was a little bit frustrating.”

The postseason is over for one of the most disappointing Los Angeles Laker teams in history. At the center of it is Dwight Howard. Los Angeles was the focal point for what was probably the only interesting storyline at the end of the regular season, but the all the air left the tires once the post-season started. The Lakers made us all believe in a dream, then they splashed the water...
Metta World Peace joined ABC 7 for their postgame show following Game 4 between the Warriors and Spurs on Sunday afternoon where he discussed the past season with the Lakers and adjusting to new teammate, Dwight Howard and his humorous approach on the basketball court.

LOS ANGELES When Dwight Howard first joined the Lakers, one of the teams top personalities was worried that the club had acquired a player who wasnt all that serious about winning.
When I first met Dwight, and after the first few practices and games, and then the regular season started, I thought he was joking around a little bit too much,Lakers forward Metta World Peace said....
DRAW 'EM TO DALLAS
With the Mavericks missing the playoffs for the first time since 2000, Dirk Nowitzki hopes the team sets its sights on either Dwight Howard or Chris Paul.
Lakers' Metta World Peace sat in on a local L.A. broadcast after the Warriors OT win over the Spurs and opened up about a lot of things ranging from his thought on Dwight Howard being a too jokey, his future with the Lakers and the NBA, playing defense and more including getting some advice from former Laker Michael Cooper on winning a title with this current L.A. team.
I don’t think Dwight Howard would help the Mavericks that much. They would make the playoffs, but if they are talking about making another run to the Finals, I think Chris Paul is the player they want to focus on.
Dirk just wants any type of help he can get, here is what he had to say about CP3 and Dwight courtesy of Pro Basketball Talk.
We’d love to get one of those two. We’d...

The Dallas Mavericks have had two relatively difficult seasons since winning The Finals in 2011.
The Mavericks were eliminated in the first round of the 2012 NBA Playoffs and didn't qualify in 2013.
The Mavericks were unable to sign Deron Williams last offseason and are hoping to have better success this offseason in signing either Dwight Howard or Chris Paul.
Things were going to change this season for the Magic. It did not take a genius to figure that out with Stan Van Gundy departing as head coach and Dwight Howard departing as the team's star.
In the five years those two were together the strategy for the Magic was simple. Either dump the ball into Dwight Howard to get a dunk or easy basket or have him collapse the defense...
Theyre members of whats been dubbed the Fortunate 50 by Sports Illustrated, but after last season, Kobe Bryant, Dwight Howard and Pau Gasol might have to disagree at least a little.
That said, though, team failures hardly erase the fact that the three Lakers are among the 50 highest-earning athletes in sports over the course of their most recent season. Theyre raking in the money...

Over the next few weeks Orlando Magic Daily will be taking a look at the things that went right and wrong this season as Orlando ended its season with its first Lottery season in six years.
The No. 6 has hung in the Orlando Arena and Amway Center rafters since 1990. It has always been a symbol for a passionate fan base in a small, but growing, town. There was a jersey retirement...
As we continue to navigate through the NBA Playoffs, it’s been a fun challenge to rank for the 2013-2014 season. There’s still free agency. There’s still a draft. Hey, at least we know there will be a season unlike 2011!
If you missed it, my top 10 then top 20 came out last week. Hey, it’s early, you might say “way too early” (see what I did there, it’s in the...
