This past Monday night a grand affair took place at Sunda, a Chicago area restaurant, as Scottie Pippen’s wife Larsa threw her husband a 47th birthday party.  Many celbrities and atheletes were in attendance, includign former NBAer Antoine Walker (who was probably bussing tables), golfer Ben Crenshaw, Bulls center Nazr Mohammed, Ahmad Rashad, and team president Michael Reinsdorf.

But the surprise guest of the night was Pippen’s old teammate, Michael Jordan.  It was surprising because Pippen has gone on record saying that LeBron James was a better player than Jordan, and admitted that the two—who seemed inseparable during the Bulls’ heyday—doesn’t talk much to His Airness.  But apparently that matters very little to Jordan, who put that stuff behind him and showed up to help Pippen celebrate his birthday.

And what better way to end a night of celebrating and revelry than with a good, old fashioned dance off, which is exactly what Jordan and Pippen did, as the pair squared off and cut a rug to Say Ahh by Trey Songz and Fabolous.  No word on who the winner was, but considering how famous Jordan is for being overly competitive, chances are pretty good that the majority owner of the Bobcats came away with the imaginary dance trophy.

No word on whether Charles Barkley had any money on Pippen to take the dance-off, but considering his penchant for gambling, it’s not totally out of the realm of possibility.
