Via Cosby Sweaters:
A familiar face showed up on the Charlotte Bobcats’ practice court yesterday. Owner Michael Jordan stepped in for some one-on-one drills, likely in an effort to energize a team that has lost eight straight after starting the season 7-5 — a record that matched their win total all of last season. The 49-year-old Jordan spent time with team captain Gerald Henderson and stud rookie Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, while injured forward Tyrus Thomas lobbed entry passes.
However, Henderson, a former Duke Blue Devil (Jordan was a Tar Heel) who is also coming off an injury, might need some coaching on how not to comment on His Airness’ game:
He’s still got it. He can still shoot. I don’t know about his defense, but he can still score. He’s a basketball genius. But I don’t know if he wants to see me in a couple of months.
Smart move, Mr. Henderson. You know what happened to the last guy who questioned Michael Jordan’s ability on the court? Or challenged him? I don’t think they ever found his body. Let’s just hope the cameras are rolling at practice when Henderson is healthy a couple months from now.
