Team USA is slowly but surely trimming down its roster in preparation for the FIBA World Cup later this month. John Wall, Bradley Beal, and Paul Millsap were let go from the team earlier this week, cutting the roster to 16, but Team USA will also be without Pacers’ star forward Paul George after he suffered a devastating leg injury during the team’s scrimmage last Friday.
Mike Krzyzewski and USA Basketball managing director Jerry Colangelo spoke with the media about how the team would handle the losses moving forward, and their responses indicated the rest of the players on the roster are still on board despite the risk of injury.
