It goes without saying that Anthony Davis is going to be the #1 overall pick to the New Orleans Hornets. But when they select the talented big man from Kentucky, they will be also landing the greatest unibrow in the history of athletics. Davis is wise to this and his unibrow is now its own entity as Davis has trademarked the terms “Fear the Brow” and “Raise the Brow.” He realizes the value of the brow.

“I don’t want anyone to try to grow a unibrow because of me and then try to make money off of it,” Davis told CNBC. “Me and my family decided to trademark it because it’s very unique.”

CNBC’s Darren Rovell points out that Davis couldn’t cash in on any of the monies during college because of NCAA rules. But now that he is off to make million of dollars in the NBA, he is ready to reap the benefits of the the unique physical feature. He was encouraged to get rid of it in college, but he obviously saw the future value in it.

There aren’t any hard numbers to use as an expectation for what Davis can make off his brow, but being the hottest commodity entering into the league alone should allow him to generate some serious cash money

  • “I don’t want anyone to try to grow a unibrow because of me and then try to make money off of it,”

As if one could just decide to "grow a unibrow" and there it is. Ah well, stupid is as stupid does.
  • sounds like you are jelous.
  • WS doesn't sound jealous to me, but you DO sound like a kid in third grade.
  • Hey pt1bill you are clearly a MORON and you cant spell! "You jelous also" sounds like a F*!#ing retard! jelous is spelled "jeAlous".....DIPSHITDIOT!!
  • The ugliest, dumbest, trademark in history..... Take your nba money, don't trademark that disgusting forehead mustache....we are all judging you..
  • You jelous also.
  • How can you claim your meagre unibrow as a unique trademark? Here in Colorado ex CEO of Jeppesen Sanderson, HORST BERGMANN known as The Father of The Paperless Cockpit in aviation circles, has a unibrow to make you quake in your shoes! AND so does his daughter! (I hope she doesn't mind me saying that). Don't trademarks have to be unique? Better hope Horst doesn't sue YOU!
  • can't sue him because Davis got the papers on it first. hahaha
  • ptbill,
you sound like a real douchebag. You should probably trademark troll, that's exactly what your are.
  • Absolutely the most hideous thing ever...looks like some cro magnon or neanderthal...take some of that NBA money and have the dam thing laser removed...looks even more stupid than those ridiculous lensless glasses those other morons wore during the playoffs...do any of there basketball idiots have any brains???
  • Kentucky "HATERS"..bet you wish your college teams could play basketball...hahaha
  • DOUCHE BAG!
  • It might just be me, but I'm thinking that I've seen that exact same look (as he is pictured) on several of the Muppet characters. You'd think he'd try for an 'original' look.
  • He forgot to trademark the term "Bow To The Brow" ...that was the huge one while at UK....Even still....Ant's the man...loved him at UK and will definitely follow him in the NBA...a great upstanding guy...that possesses a God given talent in bball...and a unibrow feared within the sport!
  • Boy, if I ever catch him asleep at a party, his so-called "trademark" is in serious jeopardy.
  • Stupidest
    trademark
    EVAH
  • Wow..people really are ignorant. This trademark does nothing but prevent people from using those phrases...and it doesn't even do that. It only prevents people from using those phrases FOR PROFIT. And only for specific situations. Definitely basketball related, and most likely all of sports related. But people can stil use that phrase all the way as long as it is not for profit.

The smartest thing about his move is that it prevents the NBA from using it.
  • Gee, thanks for the information.
  • I love the unibrow! He's so fine. He can trademark whatever he wants.
  • People who say this is a "stupid" move on Anthony's part are only jealous and upset that they didn't think of it first. If he can make money off of his unique asset, more power to him.

THE BROW HAS SPOKEN! So shall it be raised and feared, so shall it be done!

Go Cats! (and future NBA Stars).
