Found November 12, 2013 on Waiting For Next Year:
New Cavs center Andrew Bynum will miss the next two games this week after being excused from the team to deal with a “family medical matter.” The news was released by the team Tuesday evening. Bynum, who started Monday’s showdown against the Bulls and played a season-high 21 minutes, will miss Wednesday’s contest in Minnesota and Friday’s home game against Charlotte. No further information has been released publicly about Bynum’s family matter. He is scheduled to rejoin the team on Saturday in Washington before the Cavaliers takes on the Wizards. The 26-year-old former NBA All-Star is averaging 6.2 points and 4.2 rebounds per game in six contests. Kyrie Irving gets hit in the face by Corey Brewer elbow

As you may already know, basketball is a contact sport and earlier tonight, Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving took some unnecessary contact to the face from Minnesota’s Corey Brewer. NBA: Chad Ford on Anthony Bennett, the 2014 draft and LeBron’s free agency

The Bill Simmons “WHOA!” will live on forever, but the fact is that there was no consensus number one pick in the 2013 draft. What also appears to be fact is that 2013 wasn’t a year merely without a consensus number one, but a down year in general for the NBA talent infusion process. How much of a down year remains to be seen, but the hype for 2014 is officially off the charts...

Bynum missed all of last season with Philadelphia...

Joakim Noah on Anthony Bennett: “A lot of people are talking without a lot of experience”

A lot of people are talking without a lot of experience. When it comes to being in that position, it’s rough. You’re 21, 22. Everyone has something to say. When things aren’t going well, they’re usually not very nice. You’ve got to be mentally very strong. — Chicago Bulls center Joakim Noah in regard to Cleveland Cavaliers power forward Anthony Bennett. Perception versus reality: The ever-evolving relationship between Mike Brown and Kyrie Irving

It won’t get much traction in the way of traditional game recaps, but the interactions between Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Mike Brown and All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving will be, for better or worse, placed under a microscope of scrutiny for at least the next several games if not the duration of this very season. While the legitimacy is debatable, the narrative claims that...

Reporting on the Cleveland Cavaliers Can Be Dangerous

Recent history has shown us that attending sporting events can be dangerous. There seems to be at least one big fight every week at an NFL game. Last baseball season saw more than a few--but what about basketball? @SBNationGIF/Twitter NBA games don't tend to be life threatening for fans (as long as they don't get too close to the rail on one of the upper decks)...

Game 8: Cavaliers vs Bulls Behind The Box Score

They say box scores don’t tell the whole story. Behind The Box Score is a new series where from time to time we will attempt to look behind the box score and tell more of the complete story of what happened in the game. There are different degrees of losses for sure. Some losses are better than others. I’m not sure I would go so far as calling something a good loss. That would...

Irving and Cavs stall in Chicago despite start from Bynum, lose 96-81

On nights when Kyrie Irving isn't good offensively, the Cleveland Cavaliers' offense isn't good. This might sound like an obvious oversimplification, or a way to deflect blame from Mike Brown's game plan, but that doesn't make it any less true.  When Irving asserts himself offensively and embraces a leadership role like he did by going for 39 points...
