New Orleans Pelicans
Plenty of names will be floated around in the next week-plus as the NBA trade deadline approaches on March 15th. Over the next week, I am going to take a look at which players are likely to be dealt and what teams might be interested in acquiring said player. Earlier this season, the New Orleans Hornets put Chris Kaman on the trade block and will almost certainly move him in the next two weeks.
The post-CP3 Hornets are clearly in re-building mode and would be foolish not to trade Kaman in hopes of acquiring some assets for the future. He is a free agent after this season and it is highly unlikely that he will be re-signing with New Orleans since they already have Emeka Okafor locked up to a long-term contract and will be focusing their attention on re-signing restricted free agent Eric Gordon. Several teams would love to acquire a big man for the stretch run so the Hornets should be able to get a mixture of young talent, expiring contracts, and/or draft picks in exchange for Ka...

Chris Kaman had 20 points and 13 rebounds, Jarrett Jack hit a key basket down the stretch and the New Orleans Hornets beat the Dallas Mavericks 97-92 on Friday night.
The Hornets led for the entire second half but did not secure the win until Jack hit a leaning jumper with 17.9 seconds left, giving them a 93-89 lead. Xavier Henry added a season-high 19 points off the bench. Jack...

A month ago, the Hornets sent Chris Kaman home so they could find a suitable trade partner for him and simultaneously get some minutes for young guys like Al-Farouq Aminu, Jason Smith and Gustavo Ayon. The San Antonio Spurs reportedly were interested in Kaman, but the Hornets were asking too much in return.
It now seems things have changed. ESPN's Chris Broussard reports...
The Hornets have been using Jarrett Jack off the bench to bring stability to an inexperienced second unit.
The second half of the NBA season got under way last night and the Bulls vs. Heat debate is in full force. Miami and Chicago sit atop the Eastern Conference and there isn't much debate that one of them will make it to the finals. Last night the Bulls started their second half of the season with a win over the Hornets capped off by a huge Carlos Boozer dunk on Chris Kaman...
To Stacey King’s delight, Carlos Boozer posterized Chris Kaman last night. He did so with his left hand, of course, and he proceeded to procure a technical foul for taunting after the fact. It was a pretty badass move that didn’t exactly seem very Carlos-Boozer-like, and many fans were surprised by it. I wasn’t really taken aback, though. Every season, Carlos Boozer...

Washington Wizards big men JaVale McGee is one of the most long and athletic centers in the NBA. On Tuesday in a game against the Milwaukee Bucks McGee had an incredible dunk without touching the rim.
McGee took a bad pass on the baseline gathered himself and then took two dribbles towards the basket. McGee then when up for the skyhook in the paint but instead of shooting...
