Hooped Up: Atlanta Hawks:
Denver artist Brian Olsen performed at half-time of the Denver Nuggets vs LA Lakers game as part of his “Art In Action” performance, and painted a portrait of Nene in front of a sold out crowd live in under 7 minutes. I’m impressed.
See more work from Brian Olsen, here.

If you remember, the 6'8" forward from Morehead State made a splash in last year's NCAA tournament with some...
Oh boy, the Kings are in town! I figure something along those lines must’ve crossed each Nugget’s mind prior to this evening’s game, because a visit from Sacramento has been synonymous with showtime lately.
Coming into tonight’s contest, the Queens ranked 29th in the league in points allowed… and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. These guys had surrendered...
Nuggets rookie Kenneth Faried
Keep the name Kenneth Faried in your memory because you will see highlights of this guy again. He is a high flyer and check out this beautiful lob he gets from Rudy Fernandez. He is a rookie from Morehead St. and I always like guys with a chip on their shoulder. Check out this high flyer.

Denver Nuggets center Nene sat out Monday night's game against Milwaukee with a bruised left foot.
The team has listed Nene as day-to-day. Kosta Koufos started in his place Monday.
Nene, who signed a five-year contract in the offseason, is averaging 13.8 points and 7.2 rebounds.
Denver Nuggets forward Nene is out of Friday's game against the Washington Wizards with a bruised right heel. Nene previously missed three games with a bruised left foot.
Coach George Karl said he expects Nene to play against former teammate Carmelo Anthony when the Nuggets visit the New York Knicks on Saturday night.
Kosta Koufos will start in Nene's place and Timofey...
I wrote about this in my game story today, but if you missed out, coach George Karl talked about Kenneth Faried after last night’s game.
Now, there’s no question that the rookie forward is a fiery, energetic rookie who can end up on YouTube and SportsCenter in a matter of moments (such as last night).
And, of course, the fans are yearning for more “Manimal” – Faried’s...
Denver - George Karl is not afraid to go the unconventional route if he thinks it will help his team win a game.
So when the Denver Nuggets coach decided to use 6-foot-9, 250-pound forward Al Harrington to defend 7-foot, 260-pound Milwaukee Bucks center Andrew Bogut in the fourth quarter Monday night, it was not a huge surprise.
And Karl's tactic worked to perfection as Harrington...
While Los Angeles may be "Lob City" with Chris Paul throwing oops to high flyers like Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan, perhaps the best lob of the early NBA season came tonight from Rudy Fernandez of the Denver Nuggets. Fernandez had quite the journey this offseason to Denver from Real Madrid via Dallas, but could turn out to be a solid addition for the high powered Nuggets...
Al Harrington scored 15 points, Rudy Fernandez had 12 points to go with eight assists, and the Denver Nuggets won their third straight by beating the Sacramento Kings 110-83 Wednesday night.
Due to contract negotiations, Nuggets shooting guard Arron Afflalo didn't have much practice time before the start of the 2011-12 season. Afflalo is off to a slow start as he works his way into shape but believes he isn't far from regaining the form that helped him become one of Denver's most indispensible players.
The Denver Nuggets hope to finish up a three-game homestand in perfect fashion on Wednesday when they play host to a Sacramento Kings team in the midst of a back-to-back-to-back stretch,
