Free agent guard Sasha Vujacic has signed a two-year contract to play in Turkey, euroleague.net reported Friday.
Vujacic, 27, signed a one-year deal with an option for a second season with Anadolu Efes Istanbul, the report said. The website did not provide financial terms, nor did it say whether Vujacic has an out clause that would allow him to return to the NBA.
Vujacic ended last season with the New Jersey Nets after being acquired from the Los Angeles Lakers during the season. He was to become a free agent this summer.
A native of Slovenia, Vujacic has played in leagues in his home country and Italy. He was a backup for six seasons with the Lakers and won a pair of NBA titles before averaging a career-best 11.4 points in 56 games with the Nets.
