The Miami Heat have good reason to believe they'll keep their momentum going into an upcoming two-week road swing.
They have yet to lose a home game and their final one before that trip comes Wednesday night against a Brooklyn Nets team they've beaten 10 straight times.
Two days after needing Ray Allen's late 4-point play for a narrow win over Denver, Miami's victory Monday wasn't nearly as dramatic. The Heat (3-1) topped 118 points for the third time in four games, beating Phoenix 124-99 to improve to 3-0 at home.
The defending champions have won 15 of 17 home games including last season's playoff run, though they will head to the road for six straight games starting Friday in Atlanta. Their next home game after Wednesday will be a Nov. 21 matchup versus Milwaukee.
Winning in Miami will be a tall order for the Nets (1-1) in their first regular-season road game since moving to Brooklyn. They've dropped six straight there since Feb. 1, 2008, and have l...

Chris Bosh finished with 18 points and Ray Allen had 15 for Miami (3-1), which is averaging 111.8 points to open the season. Allen became the 24th player in NBA history to eclipse the 23,000-point mark when he made a free throw with 1:01 left...
MIAMI -- The Heat's philosophy so far this season has been simple: Catch us if you can. Miami's defense was better Monday night than it had been earlier, but it still hasn't been as sharp as it was during last season's championship run. But when a team can score as the Heat can, who needs defensive stops? The Heat gave up 53 first-half points and still cruised...

MIAMI -- The Brooklyn Nets have the second-biggest payroll in the NBA, but the team that was on the money Wednesday night was the Miami Heat. Miami, playing its most complete game of the season, defeated the Nets, 103-73, to raise its record to 4-1. It's also the first time in franchise history that the Heat has started a season 4-0 at home. The Heat have now beaten the Nets...
The Brooklyn Nets (1-1) will make a trip to Florida to face the Miami Heat (3-1) for an Eastern Conference showdown. However, it will be a tall task for the Nets to leave South Beach with a win as Miami is undefeated at home early in the season. Not to mention the Nets have lost six in a row in Miami.

Ray Allen is already having an impact with the Miami Heat, while Chris Bosh is trying to continue making his own.
The Heat, though, are looking for an improved defensive effort all around.
Allen and Bosh are seeking to build on strong performances in order to help Miami to its fifth straight victory over the Phoenix Suns on Monday night.

A couple of days ago, Boston Celtics general manager Danny Ainge joined WEEI's "The Big Show" to talk about the team. One of the questions ended up being about former Boston Celtics member Ray Allen and it appears from Ainge's perspective that Ray didn't return his phone calls:Whether he has spoken to Ray Allen since Allen has left Boston:“I’ve tried to ...
BOSTON — The sharpshooter was making golf analogies and the Celtics had just won a ballgame. It was like old times in the home locker room at the TD Garden.
The only differences were that this sharpshooter was not Ray Allen but Jason Terry, and the ballgame the Celtics had just won was a dreadful-looking escape act against and underwhelming opponent missing its two best players...
