Deron Williams has a sprained right wrist, but the Brooklyn Nets' All-Star point guard has been playing through the pain. Williams injured his wrist last Friday while bracing himself after a fall. He says he has been playing with the injury ever since. According to Mike Mazzeo of ESPN New York, Williams suffered a minor sprain of the joint in his right wrist. Williams confirmed the injury did not have anything to do with the surgery he had on the wrist in April of 2011. "When I went up against Blake Griffin, I landed on it. I came down and braced my fall with the right wrist, and I jammed it," Williams said.Williams is averaging 16.7 points per game and 8.9 assists per game. In his career, he has averaged 17.6 points per game and 9.2 assists per game. He is widely considered one of the best point guards in the league. The 28-year old is a three-time All-Star and shows no signs of slowing down. The Nets have planned their rebuild around Williams. He is the centerpiece of their plan for a team that will compete in its new city. This is the team;s first year playing in Brooklyn. So far, the plan has worked. The Nets are 9-4 on the season and look good for the most part. Much of this can be attributed to Williams. And as it stands now, he's playing hurt, so they could get better. Follow @hoopsinjurynews
