The Brooklyn Nets (4-2) beat the Cleveland Cavaliers (2-6), tonight at the Barclays Center from Brooklyn, NY.
What a great start to a new era in the borough of Brooklyn for the Nets. They are off to a 4-2 start to the regular season.
"Brooklyn's backcourt" is the new nickname representing PG Deron Williams and SG Joe Johnson who have been playing very well together in their first six games together as teammates.
Deron Williams and Joe Johnson both scored over 20 plus points against the Cavaliers and look for these two score over twenty plus points all season long.
Deron Williams will be an all-star this season when the all-star game comes around. He dropped 26 points and made 10 assists to get a double-double.
Joe Johnson who has a chance to make the all-star game as well scored 25 points, made 6 assists and grabbed 5 rebounds.
Brook Lopez played like a true center in tonight''s game by scoring 23 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and blocked 4 shot...

In the NBA, we have a tendency to overrate some of the games biggest stars. That may be what the Brooklyn Nets have done with Deron Williams.
Now, make no mistake, Williams is an All-Star. He can win games for you from the point guard position. But hes probably not a No. 1 option, even if the Nets try to promote him as such. Or more accurately, hes probably not a No...
Gerald Wallace has already missed five straight games. Tonight will mark his sixth. The Brooklyn Nets forward has been working his way back from a sprained left ankle. However, he is not quite ready to take the court again. Wallace initially suffered the injury in the season-opener. He has not played since and is following team instructions for his rehab, says Mike Mazzeo...
On Monday the NBA announced select teams playing on Christmas day will wear “Big Color” jerseys. The jerseys feature a monochromatic color scheme, highlighted by the team’s prominent color. For the Nets, the jerseys will be all black, except for the lining on the numbers and logos.

A decent start by the Brooklyn Nets but injury woes headline their season. Sucks the Nets Marshon Brooks and Gerald Wallace have matching left ankle injuries.
Brooks left ankle woes began at practice with what seemed to be a simple sprain. The 23-year old Nets guard, admitted he sat out because his ankle, “really wasn’t feeling the way [he] wanted” Thursday night.
The book on Andray Blatche is tattered and traveled: man possesses the size of a center, but the ability of a much smaller player. It’s pages have produced studs (see: Durant, Kevin), but just as many duds (Thomas, Tim). ‘Tis the mind, not the body, that fails these dudes in their attempts to succeed at the highest level of basketball.
The logic behind uncertainty for the future...
The Nets haven’t been able to build true team chemistry yet without forward Gerald Wallace, who suffered a sprained ankle in the season opener against the Toronto Raptors.
Although he was limited, Wallace practiced Monday for the first time since he rolled his ankle 27 seconds away from an opening win against Toronto. He’s scheduled to be available for Thursday’s...
BROOKLYN, N.Y. -- Joe Johnson knew that he was a much better shooter than the one who shot 36 percent during his first five games with the Brooklyn Nets. So in the morning shoot-around before the Nets took on the Cleveland Cavaliers Monday night, Johnson concentrated on finding his rhythm and touch once again. "For some reason today, I felt good," said Johnson, who connected...
BROOKLYN, N.Y. -- Joe Johnson snapped out of his early-season shooting slump by scoring 25 points and keying a big second-quarter run, and Deron Williams added 26 points and 10 assists, leading the Brooklyn Nets to a 114-101 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Barclays Center on Tuesday night. The Nets (4-2) collected their third consecutive win, while the Cavaliers (2...

In the Celtics first game in the brand new Barclays Arena, some basketball was being played through the music being blared through the loud speakers. The Celtics were without Rajon Rondo after his ankle sprain last night, with Leandro Barbosa starting in his place. With the game tied 87, Brooklyn pulled away and despite the Celtics best efforts (including a dicey foul on D-Will...
