It's not often you see NBA players air ball jump shots unless the shot gets tipped. Mirza Teletovic of the Brooklyn Nets accomplished this feat last night.....three consecutive times.
Although Mirza only averages about eight minutes and 3.4 points a game, he still needs to shoot better than this. I would almost have to compare this to a hat trick in soccer or hockey, except for the fact that this would be a terrible hat trick that absolutely nobody wants to accomplish.
Mirza also had to deal with the fact that they were playing in Detroit, and the Pistons fans weren't going to let him hear the end of the air ball chants. Luckily for him he only played a total of 6 minutes on the night, so that kind of limited the heckling time for the fans. Try harder next time Mirza. Check out the video of the air balls below.
