In a move that has most Nets fans scratching their heads, the Nets will reportedly trade Chris Douglas-Roberts to the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for a future second round pick. CDR was a viable asset to the Nets team last year, and being a young, cheap upcoming player – it seems questionable to get rid of someone like CDR when you are in a rebuilding stage. This just solidifies in my mind the Nets selection of Wesley Johnson tomorrow, seeing that CDR filled in at Small Forward last season, and having Terrence Williams, CDR and Johnson all battling for playing time just wasn’t in the Nets’ best interest. Or, the Nets could be stockpiling pieces to make a big splash at the trade front. Either way, the move came as a shock to many Nets fans – and even Terrence Williams.
