TEAMS: New Jersey Nets, Philadelphia 76ers, Cleveland Cavaliers, New York Knicks
The New Jersey Nets headed into Philadelphia with one thing on their mind and that was to come away with a victory anyway possible. The Nets did just that as they defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 97-90 in overtime to capture their sixth win of the season.
Good
The good came from the Nets as a whole as the team picked up their second win in three games. Deron Williams came up big in the win as well. He contributed 34 points, 11 assists and four rebounds as he almost gets that coveted triple-double mark again. Anthony Morrow and Jordan Farmar both came through filling-in for the injured rookie MarShon Brooks. Morrow scored 16 points while Farmar had 12 off the bench. The Sixers are a team that is now 12-6 and this win could give the Nets some confidence.
Bad
The only bad I could find in this game is that lack of play from DeShawn Stevenson. In 29 minutes he only managed to score three points and grab one rebound. Stevenson has to play better if he wants to see his playing time increase...

Deron Williams Ready To Move Out Of Prudential Center
Deron Williams is leaving New Jersey next year. There is no doubt about that. Whether it will be Brooklyn or someplace else is another question. But Williams is going to be very happy to be out of New Jersey and his team's temporary home in Newark.
The last two years, the Nets have played their home games at the Prudential Center having moved out of the Izod Center in the...

A's pitcher gets unique tattoo of Rollie Fingers
Yes, you are seeing that correctly. That is Hall of Fame pitcher Rollie Fingers in all of his mustachioed glory, riding a dolphin in front of a rainbow, engraved in ink on Oakland A’s pitcher Dallas Braden’s left upper arm.
Okay, okay, I have serious doubts this is real. For one, its gleam in light reminds me of those temporary tattoos kids can get at Chuck E. Cheese...

Brook Lopez Disappointed the Nets Didn’t Re-Sign Him
The Nets’ decision not to extend a contract offer to center Brook Lopez didn’t come as a surprise to anyone who had paid even a modicum of attention, but Lopez let it be known that he was hurt by the team’s decision (which largely hinges on their pursuit of Dwight Howard.) Per the NY Post: “Brook Lopez would have preferred to be involved in any discussions that led to the...
Snoop Dogg To Kris Humphries: “You Shouldn’t Have Tried to Wife The B*tch” (Video)
Hard to take Snoop seriously when he is wearing that hat, but I digress.
To be honest, the story he tells about Kimmy and Reggie Bush in Africa is funnier, than the actual advice he gives to Kris Humphries.
I respectfully disagree with Doggy Dogg.
You always try to wife someone whose family net worth is closing in on $100 million. Humphries problem was he couldn’t keep the...
Lopez disappointed contract not extended
PHILADELPHIA — Brook Lopez would have preferred to be involved in any discussions that led to the Nets’ decision not to extend him. “It does include me,” Lopez said with a shrug after the Nets made official yesterday what they had indicated for some time — they did not extend the fourth-season...

Nets’ task: Build on mojo
CLEVELAND — Two nights ago, after the Nets did something they rarely have done this season, win a close game, Deron Williams was shouting the new motto he has proposed for the team — “I love it” — about virtually everything. It was, he claimed, an effort to drive away negativity from the...

Farmar is Hot
Jordan Farmar continued his hot shooting last night in a loss to the Bulls. Farmar, who plays behind Deron Williams, dropped 22 pts and added 4 assists. This has come on the heels for a great streak for Farmar. With Rookie MarShon Brooks out, Farmar has made the most of his time. He has scored in double figures six times in his last eight games and is averaging 13.5 points over that...
