The New Jersey Nets were able to hold the lead all game and bounce back from a tough 10-point loss against Oklahoma City Saturday night. The Nets defeated the Charlotte Bobcats 97-87 to capture their fifth win of the season. The Nets are now 5-12 on the year.

The Nets were able to maintain a lead the entire game. Something we have rarely seen in the past few years. The rookie MarShon Brooks padded his chances for NBA Rookie of the Year as he led the Nets with 20 points. Fellow teammate Deron Williams was able to score 19 points, dish out 10 assists and grab nine rebounds accounting for another ‘almost triple-double.’ It looked like Williams was having fun playing again and that’s what the Nets needed.
The guard play was what also won the Nets the game. Anthony Morrow and Jordan Farmar provided tremendous support off the bench. Morrow had 19 points and Farmar had 13 points and four assists.
