Found April 12, 2013 on Turn On The Knicks:
On March 18th, the 38-26 Knicks, currently on a four-game losing streak came into the EnergySolutions Arena looking to turn it around against the Utah Jazz. The team was still in a position of strength in that they undoubtedly had their most talented collection of players in years and were battling over the highly sought after second seed; a spot that would delay any Eastern Conference team from facing the Heat until as late as possible. After their 90-83 victory in Utah, the team then went on to complete a 13-game winning streak reaching a record of 51-26 until it was ended last night in a 118-111 overtime loss to the Chicago Bulls. If the Knicks had won out it would have tied a franchise record of 18 consecutive wins that was set by the 1969-1970 Knicks who later won the NBA Finals. Although there will always be the hype surrounding patterns in history, the 2012-2013 Knicks may not have won 18 games in a row but what this 13-game winning streak has shown is a team capable of a si...

Knicks Resume Winning Ways As They Begin Resting For Playoffs

Though the Knicks' thirteen game winning streak was snapped in Chicago, and the team went all out through overtime trying to earn themselves a victory that never came, it's easy to see they are (as short-handed as they may be) transitioning into playoff mode with their eyes on a long-term run.Though he, like many of his teammates, exhausted himself against Chicago a bit,...

New York Knicks Weekly Bench Report – April 11th Edition

The Knicks have kept rolling since my last bench report a week ago, posting a 3-0 record since last Thursday. Two of the three wins recorded this past week are very solid ones, one coming last Friday at home against the Bucks, and the other was an even stronger win against Western power Oklahoma City Thunder. The most recent victory was this past Tuesday night at the Garden as the...

Carmelo Anthony Doesn’t Think Carlos Boozer Knows What He’s Doing On The Court

The Bulls and Knicks were forced to play small ball on Thursday night thanks to a wrath of injuries to both teams.  The Bulls did have Carlos Boozer to battle the boards where he matched up under the rim plenty of times with Carmelo Anthony who had a season-high 19 rebounds.  Boozer countered with 15 of his own, but Melo doesn’t think the Bulls forward knows what he’s doing...

Knicks 101, Cavaliers 91

Carmelo Anthony scored 31 points with 14 rebounds in just three quarters and the New York Knicks bounced back after having their winning streak stopped at 13 games one night earlier by beating the Cleveland Cavaliers 101-91 on Friday night. Anthony's streak of scoring at least 35 points ended at six games as New York coach Mike Woodson chose to rest the All-Star forward the...

CC video of the day: Knicks clinch Atlantic Division 'Phantom Style'

For quite sometime, the Knicks were the joke of the NBA. From the disaster that was Isiah Thomas, blowing up the team for Carmelo Anthony to to playoff futility it was only a matter of time before the team can return to prominance -- and their return as a top-team in the NBA has arrived. This season, the Knicks have eclipsed 50-wins, and won their first division (Atlantic...

Cavalier Film Room: Crazy Cross Matchups

Last night, the Cavaliers fell to the New York Knicks 101-91, largely due to the stellar performances of New York’s 1-2 punch of Carmelo Anthony and J.R. Smith (31 points each). Rather than a traditional recap, I thought I’d take a stab at looking at some of the crazy cross-matchups that occurred in this game’s, primarily centered around Anthony playing the power forward position...

CC video of the day: Knicks make history from long range

Much success has been coming the Knicks way of late. A 50-game winning season since 1994, second seed in the playoffs, a strong squad led by Carmelo Anthony and versus the Bulls last night, some NBA history. During the first half in last night's game in Chicago, the Knicks connected on seven three-pointers which added to their team  total of 844 three-pointers made in a...
