Nick Young is a fickle man. The Wizards guard has ended his boycott of the Michael Jordan shoe/clothing brand that started less than two months ago.
Young was upset with Jordan’s hard-line stance against the players during the lockout and declared he was boycotting Jumpman. That came to an end with the release of the Air Jordan 11s that caused a frenzy among shoppers.
“Those were some of my favorites,” Young said of the Jordan shoes. “I might have to give Jordan a call and apologize. I didn’t know those came out. Those were my favorites.”
“Protest is over. I’m sorry Michael,” Young told Wizards Insider.
Clearly you can see that Young is a man of principle. It’s likely he denounced Jordan because he was hurt during the lockout; he considers Mike his hero. I just hope he wasn’t one of the crazy people causing stampedes at the mall in search of the sneakers.
