PLAYERS: Nick Young
TEAMS: Washington Wizards
Nick Young is a fickle man. The Wizards guard has ended his boycott of the Michael Jordan shoe/clothing brand that started less than two months ago. Young was upset with Jordan’s hard-line stance against the players during the lockout and declared he was boycotting Jumpman. That came to an end with the release of the Air Jordan 11s that caused a frenzy among shoppers. “Those were some of my favorites,” Young said of the Jordan shoes. “I might have to give Jordan a call and apologize. I didn’t know those came out. Those were my favorites.” “Protest is over. I’m sorry Michael,” Young told Wizards Insider. Clearly you can see that Young is a man of principle. It’s likely he denounced Jordan because he was hurt during the lockout; he considers Mike his hero. I just hope he wasn’t one of the crazy people causing stampedes at the mall in search of the sneakers.

NBA Free Agency Unkind To Adam Morrison. Spain, Italy Next Options?

Believe it or not, but Adam Morrison had a good thing going for Red Star Belgrade in Serbia before deciding to leave the team in late November to test the NBA free agency waters. He should have stayed put. Derrick Rose signed a fresh contract and is always willing to put...

Wizards: A franchise in John Wall's hands

For John Wall, the Monday before Christmas was especially busy. After an early practice with the team, he got on a bus with Wizards teammates Shelvin Mack, Hamady Ndiaye and Jordan Crawford, along with a few Capitals players and team executives, and delivered gifts to three local families. Then it ...

Wizards' Rashard Lewis knows what it takes to survive a lockout-shortened season

The last time the NBA missed games due to a lockout, Washington Wizards forward Rashard Lewis was a rookie. It was the 1998-99 season, which was compressed into a 50-game schedule. Lewis was 19 years old, fresh out of high school and had slipped into the early second round on ...
