Bulls 2011 first round draft pick just got done playing in the Under 20′s European Championship this past weekend, and he was by far the most impressive player to play in the tournament.
Mirotic was named the MVP of the tournament, receiving 85 percent of the vote, as he led Spain to their first U20 European Championship in the country’s history. Mirotic finished the tournament with averages of 27 points and 10 rebounds. He shot 63.4 percent on his two point field goals and 40 percent on his three point field goals, which gave him an impressive true shooting percentage of 68.5 percent.
The competition that he was facing is somewhat of a question. From the games I saw, it looked comparable, at least when Spain played the better teams in the tournament, to the quality of basketball seen around the Elite Eight or Final Four in the NCAA tournament.
