Khaalidah Miller scored 17 points and No. 8 Georgia defeated Furman 83-47 Wednesday. Miller, who also had six rebounds, was one of three guards to score in double figures for Georgia (8-0). Jasmine James added 15 points and four assists. Erika Ford added 14 points and six rebounds. Forward Anne Marie Armstrong scored 12 for Georgia. Brittany Hodges led Furman (3-2) with 15 points, and Teshia Griswold added 14. Georgia outrebounded Furman 45-35 and scored 36 points off 28 turnovers. Furman grabbed an early lead at 9-4 on a short jumper by Holli Wilkins with 17:01 to play in the first half. Wilkins was playing on the same floor where her brother, Damien Wilkins, played for the Georgia men's team before embarking on his NBA career. The Lady Dogs recaptured the lead on a three-point play by Armstrong at 12-11, igniting a 14-2 run. Miller's 3-pointer at the 11-minute mark put Georgia up 23-12.
